Visitors to the Reifen show in Essen, Germany later this month can reckon with an expanded Zenises presence in Hall 3, the fair’s main hall. The company brags that its stand has one of the largest exhibition spaces and will display a number of tyre programmes, several of which are new to the European market.

Z Tyre has launched a new concept in car tyre retail, which it believes “could represent an exciting and substantial commercial shift for the tyre trade.” The Z Tyre Flat Rate subscription, available from 4.99 euros per month, is designed to cover all new tyre related costs, allowing the customer to fit or upgrade tyres using a small monthly subscription. The initiative aims to answer common complaints of motorists purchasing tyres – a high initial one-off cost for a distress purchase, which can often mean reduced opportunities to sell based on aesthetics, performance or expert recommendation – and the unpredictability of cash-flow for the retailer.
Zenises has opened a new office in Sydney, Australia. With the initial focus on its Z brand for passenger cars and SUVs, the new regional office will also offer a wide range of products throughout Australia and the surrounding areas of New Zealand and other Pacific markets.
Chinese tyre manufacturer Triangle Tyre celebrated its 40th anniversary on 8 April. According to the company, over the past 40 years, Triangle Tyre has enjoyed “a big improvement in the tyre production” both in terms of quality and quantity.
Commercial tyre retreading specialist and tyre management solutions provider, Vacu-Lug Traction Tyres will showcase its range of Vacu-Lug retread and Westlake truck and bus tyres at the 2016 Commercial Vehicle Show. A wide selection of Westlake’s latest range of truck tyres will be on display, featuring drive, trailer and steer applications, to suit a range of commercial transport needs, including heavy and light truck, waste management and construction. Westlake’s manufacturer, ZC Rubber (AKA Hangzhou Zhongce), recently announced two new commercial vehicle tyres for European markets. Vacu-Lug’s stand will be located at Hall 4, Stand 4H120.
Zenises CEO Harjeev Kandhari has confirmed that the company began distributing Triangle truck and bus tyres in Germany at the start of 2016. The company’s general manager for Central Europe, Stephan Nungess, has been tasked with developing Triangle’s presence in the German market. The goal is to establish Triangle in key distribution channels, with company representatives having already held training sessions with our customers and launched new brochures.
Zenises has launched a new website “designed to accommodate the company’s expanding business activity and showcase its multi-brand tyre brand portfolio”. Zenises.com carries details of the firm’s Z and T brands and introduces the firm’s long-standing association with Westlake passenger and commercial tyres as well as more recent tyre brand additions such as Triangle truck tyres.
Zenises has named Fabio Spina as general manager for Italy. Spina brings over 20 years’ tyre experience into his new role.
Based in the central region of Italy, Fabio will take charge of an expanding brand portfolio, improving customer service and responsibility for key accounts and new partners.
The Zenises Foundation, the child-focused charity associated with the Zenises tyre brand, and Goodride tyre brand manufacturer ZC Rubber have shared details of separate projects undertaken with schools in Africa and the Caribbean.
Zenises recently held its first Italian convention to present its brand portfolio at the historic 900 year old Castello della Castelluccia in Rome.
Fifteen partners from various Italian regions attended the gathering at which the 2016 brand development strategies in Italy were unveiled. Z Tyre has updated its brand website (ztyre.com) in order to promote its expanding range. The website explains the background of Z, outlining its development and market focus as well as how the tyre has been rigorously tested in a variety of European environments. The site also offers tyre advice to drivers on how to maintain peak performance during the life of their Z tyres.
The winners of the 2015 Tyre Industry Awards were announced during the 86th NTDA Annual Dinner on 1 October following the new one-day Tyre Industry Conference at the International Convention Centre (ICC), Birmingham. Attendance at the dinner set a new record, with 60 tables sold out. The speaker and presenter of the awards was former England Rugby Union international, amateur dancer and current television pundit, Austin Healey, who added some trademark irreverence to proceedings. The Awards were also live-tweeted as they were announced on the @Tyrepress Twitter feed. The awards were sponsored this year by Sailun Tyres.
The annual NTDA Zenises Golf Day completed a hat-trick of appearances at the world-class Brocket Hall venue in July. With 81 members out on the golf course and over 100 joining together for the evening’s dinner and entertainment, 2015 saw record numbers of participants for the NTDA Zenises Golf Day.
