Last month, Bridgestone Corporation announced many changes within its management team that will take effect on 1 January 2024 as part of a wider restructuring of management operations. The company has now given word that it is further tweaking the roles of two of these managers.
The implementation of Bridgestone Corporation’s new global management structure, as announced earlier today, is accompanied by numerous changes in job title and responsibilities. All management changes mentioned here take effect 1 January 2024.
Solar rooftop panels installed upon Bridgestone’s Nong Khae plant in Thailand’s Saraburi province will directly power the tyre production process. The equipment installed at the Thai Bridgestone Co., Ltd., facility is the largest solar rooftop panel in use across the Bridgestone Group and has a total capacity of 9.95 MWp.
Masahiro Higashi, the Bridgestone Corporation chief operating officer with responsibility for the company’s business in Japan and its Bridgestone Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. (BSCAP) business unit, will from 1 January 2023 additionally take on chairmanship of BSCAP.

Bridgestone Corporation shares that Yves Kerstens, chief technology officer of its Bridgestone Asia Pacific Pte Ltd. subsidiary, will leave the company on 31 December 2017. Yoshikazu Shida, currently director of Bridgestone Corporation’s Public Relations and Environmental External Relations division, will succeed him in this position in early January.
Following the appointment of Junichi Kumano as director of Bridgestone Corporation’s Aircraft Tire business division in February, Yoshikazu Shida has been named Kumano’s successor in his previous role of president director of PT. Bridgestone Tire Indonesia. Shida’s appointment to the Bridgestone subsidiary was officially announced at a ceremony on 6 March.
