Trico has expressed delight with the results of consumer weekly, Auto Express’ recent ‘Best wiper blades: 2017’ group test, in which its Exact Fit range was rated four stars out of five. Auto Express tested nine sets of wiper blades and key benchmarks were: a clean wipe that did not leave smears, quietest designs on a dry screen, good clear instructions which are essential for simple fitting, and the price.
A1 Motor Stores Mota1 wiper blades are now available to order from A12U. The Mota1 wiping programme, supported by Trico, was officially launched at the A1 Trade Show and proved extremely popular with members, with many sales being made on the day. Trico see A1 Motor Stores as a crucial partner and are actively working to convert members from non-approved budget blades to the Mota1 programme.
Valeo Service UK, a wiper systems specialist, provides the automotive aftermarket with a wide range of exclusive flat blade solutions from its Silencio and HydroConnect brands. Since launching its first original equipment (OE) flat blade in 2004 for Mercedes applications, Valeo supplied nearly half of the European car parc with its OE flat blades in 2016.
Valeo Service UK has unveiled its latest Compact wipers catalogue. The Compact brand has been developed by Valeo and is categorised into three sub-brands to cover each technological segment of the market. The Compact range includes three sub ranges: Standard, Revolution and Evolution.
Just in time for winter, Valeo has added ll new references to its range of wiper motors; there are now 120 wiper motors in the Valeo range, all of which come from Valeo’s Original Equipment (OE) production lines. Valeo has a very significant position as a supplier of wiper motors to OE car manufacturers in Europe and, as a result, a privileged role to play as a provider of aftermarket parts, if any need replacing during the life of the car. Then, as a matter of fact, there is a strong opportunity to grow sales with Valeo’s wiper motors for the independent automotive aftermarket.

Tyres are not the only rubber component of a car that will deteriorate when exposed to weather, temperature changes and time, as a new poster published by First Line Group (FLG) brand Borg & Beck. Wiper blades’ deterioration affects driver visibility, therefore increasing risks to passengers and other road users. The company recommends that motorists replace their wiper blades annually, and has produced a poster for display in reception areas to argue this case.
