The 11th edition of the China International Tyre Expo (CITExpo) looks set to be the largest prior to the show’s opening. Škoda has unveiled the world's biggest ice cream van, just as Britain gears up for a scorching bank holiday weekend. The giant vRS ice cream van was launched at Great Yarmouth, where local children tucked in to huge ice creams. Members of the public will have a chance to sample free ice creams as the giant ice cream van embarks on a national tour in the coming month.
July turned out to be gloriously warm and dry, yet some European farmers may still find themselves harvesting in the wet – especially in Northern Europe where the harvest is traditionally later. Whilst a few days of dry and windy weather can render the crop itself harvestable, the soil below remains wet and whereas the small combines of yesteryear could usually operate on wet terrain, modern, heavier machinery often becomes bogged down in the mud, reducing efficiency and causing potentially expensive delays in what could be a short window of opportunity for the year’s harvest.
YHI reports that its expanding Malaysia factory has gained some new OE deals including one with Proton as part of its strategy to grow its aftermarket and OEM businesses in Malaysia and wider region. According to YHI, the contract is to supply alloy wheels to Proton for its Satroa Meo R3, Global Small Cars and Saga FLX models. This order of alloy wheels will be manufactured at the Group’s Malaysia plant.
