The products made by Safety Seal are not indicators, but TÜV-tested retainers to prevent the wheel nuts from loosening.

GKN Wheels recently launched a new high-performance wheel for high-load capacity vehicles, with the new wheel capable of taking tyres with 13 bar pressure. GKN Wheels and Structures is commissioning a brand new manufacturing cell at its plant in Nagbøl, Denmark.
The programme will see the introduction of robotic technology, with the largest and fastest robot in Denmark being installed to improve both the company’s speed of manufacture and flexibility of production. On completion, the new manufacturing cell will be capable of producing very small batch sizes efficiently and cost-effectively, with changeover times brought down to an absolute minimum. Depending on customer’s specific requirements, the new production cell can also weld different valve guards and make a high spot mark.
Negotiations to rectify the Department for Transport’s apparent failure to incorporate European Union Directives 2014/45/EU and 2014/47/EU into the wheel-related section of the new Heavy Goods Vehicle Inspection Manual has yielded a positive result for MWheels. The commercial vehicle wheel specialist shares that following a meeting with the DfT, DVSA and Parliamentary representative Mike Kane MP on 17 May, the DfT “has agreed to work with MWheels to investigate ways in which the Heavy Goods Vehicle Inspection Manual’s section on wheels can be enhanced to improve vehicle safety.”
Aluminium wheel manufacturer Superior Industries International, Inc. reports shipping 5.5 million units in the first quarter of 2018, a 94.8 per cent increase compared with the first three months of last year. This sizeable improvement was primarily due to the inclusion of the company’s European operation in this year’s results but was also driven by higher unit shipments in North America.
