Fans from across Europe will be able to vote on their favourite story, in which drivers and riders have shown the grit, determination and commitment to fight their way back to the top, at www.greatfightbacks.com from 21 January 2016.
Goodyear has launched its next generation website in the UK and Ireland. While not quite the pioneering retail strategy employed by the manufacturer’s US digital platform, the new site (www.goodyear.co.uk) has increased the company’s interaction with end-consumers – a reaction to the sustained growth in consumers researching their tyre purchase decision online. In an unusual move for tyre manufacturers’ own websites, Goodyear also provides a recommended sell-out price on its tyres, which indicates a step towards the retail activity of its American cousin, albeit without any sort of requirement of the retailer to honour that price.
Automotive parts distributor, Fast Parts Wales, has updated its brand by designing a clean, professional website for its customers to visit and access the most recent company information.
The Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF) has launched a brand new website (www.iaaf.co.uk). The updated website will allow IAAF members to access latest association news, keeping up-to-date with IAAF’s most recent activity in the industry. It will also inform new visitors about the different services IAAF provides, benefitting aftermarket businesses on a daily basis, plus the most recent lobbying activities.
Cooper Tire Europe has launched its first full Arabic website, www.coopertire.me. The new site has extensive content including product pages, company information and a dealer locator. The company stated the site demonstrates its continued commitment to the region, coming shortly after Cooper Tire Europe announced that it will be the official tyre sponsor of this year’s Dubai International Motor Show.
The National Conciliation Service (NCS) has launched its new website, www.nationalconciliationservice.co.uk. The site, which is interactive and user-friendly, has a fresh design and modern layout providing users with a significantly enhanced digital experience.
Continental Tyres has its continental-tyres.co.uk web site a makeover and aligned the relaunched version with global sites. “Increasingly our customers are turning to the Internet for information about our tyres,” explained Stephan Meier who heads up eBusiness EMEA at Continental: “With our new-look website we are aiming to offer visitors even more targeted and rapid access to the information they want, providing them, for example, with better and faster online advice on selecting the right Continental tyres for their needs.”
Pirelli’s new website has gone live, giving the manufacturer a global platform for its marketing operations. The company said the website would feature its “many souls”: including products, competitions, business, sustainability, art and culture, and the Pirelli Calendar. It takes a narrative approach, using images, videos, and texts to recount stories, in Pirelli’s words, “accompanying the visitor/reader along a course of Pirelli discovery.” The new pirelli.com is designed to be a digital “magazine”, which will also feed into Pirelli’s social media channels. The project is capped by seven updated cover stories as the visitor navigates to the site.
Z Tyre has updated its brand website (ztyre.com) in order to promote its expanding range. The website explains the background of Z, outlining its development and market focus as well as how the tyre has been rigorously tested in a variety of European environments. The site also offers tyre advice to drivers on how to maintain peak performance during the life of their Z tyres.
EuroFlo has launched a new website, which can be found at www.euroflo.co.uk. New features include: access to the brand new and unique Stock Profiling Tool feature for Stockists; expanded Online EuroFlo Catalogue; online DPF validation form – No longer any need to email or fax; and a stockist map showing the firm’s UK stockist network.
Membat, a tyre brand designed in Barcelona, recently launched a new website in order to offer users “an easier, intuitive and interactive navigation”. The company reports that this was achieved by incorporating “the latest technology” and as a result customers will be able to find out more about the brand and its positioning. The new site is organized into five main sections: about us, products, Membat quality, news and contact.
Zeetex has refreshed its website in order to “make it aesthetically attractive and offer a sublime browsing experience”, according to the company.
Starting in November, Michelin will extend its CargoXBib portfolio with the rollout of the new CargoXBib Heavy Duty tyre, a product designed for heavily loaded agricultural trailers used both on- and off-road. The tyre was designed in partnership with equipment manufacturers, and will be sold as OEM. The tyre is available for skips and high-density presses, in three sizes: 560/60 R22.5 (available from November 2015), 560/45 R22.5 (available from July 2016) and 500/60 R22.5 (available from August 2016).
The wait, says Zafco, is over – the Dubai-based importer-exporter has launched a fresh corporate website that aims to be a “one-stop information platform for the visitors.” Describing the new zafco.com site, the company says “the tantalising user-interface compels users to navigate freely through every section and get the latest updates and happenings” and the “combination of graphical and textual content keeps the visitors’ interest above par, while divulging heaps of information including the history, milestones, CSR activities, etc.”
