TyresOnTheDrive.com has been certified by the Freight Transport Association (FTA) as a Van Excellence operator. In order to do so, the mobile tyre fitting service (which operates across the UK via a fleet of over 70 vehicles) has to successfully passed the extensive Van Excellence audit.
UK-based mobile tyre fitting service, TyresOnTheDrive.com, has received 100,000 customer reviews on Trustpilot, making it the first automotive company in the world to make the list, and one of just 25 businesses in any sector.
According to TyresOnTheDrive, mobile fitting is the fastest growing sector of the replacement tyre industry. The Cheshire-based business comments that demand has more than doubled in the past four years as motorists opt to have a technician come to them rather than having to take their car to a high street outlet.
Halfords has acquired a minority stake in TyresOnTheDrive.com valued at up to £8 million and simultaneously entered into an operating agreement with the mobile tyre fitting business. The shareholding was purchased during a round of investment in Tyres on the Drive in which existing shareholders MMC Ventures and True Capital also participated.
A new survey by mobile tyre fitting service TyresOnTheDrive.com suggests that young drivers are more than twice as likely as their elders to avoid getting a potentially dangerous problem with their car inspected urgently. The company commissioned the study to find out how apathetic UK drivers are when it comes to knowing about, but ignoring, problems with their cars. In total, 1,006 drivers of all ages were asked how long they would wait to visit a garage for various problems with their car, such as warning lights, noises and leaks.
