Van tyre defects on the rise, says VOSA report
The results of the latest VOSA effectiveness report have come to TyreSafe’s attention and the tyre safety organisation is not impressed with the attention van drivers are paying to their tyres. The report, TyreSafe comments, shows that ‘condition of tyres’ remains the most frequent prohibition defect at spot checks on light goods vehicles across the country, and the incidence rate is increasing; in 2007/08 and 2008/09 it sat at 20 per cent but rose to just under 26 per cent in 2009/10.
