While the company is best known for supplying and fitting specialist solid tyres, Tyre Boss also sources a wide range of off-highway tyre solution. This includes tyre fill which is said to be “a very popular option for many customers”.
Carlisle Construction Materials has changed the name of its polyurethane tyre fill business from Accella Tire Fill Systems to Carlisle TyrFil. The retitling brings the name of the business, which Carlisle acquired as part of its purchase of the Accella Performance Materials family of companies in November 2017, in line with the business’s original and best-known product range.
Accella Tyre Fill Systems GmbH, the subsidiary of US company Accella Performance Materials formed prior to the August 2014 acquisition of Rösler Tyre Innovators’ “Zeus” tyre fill business (and known as Zeus Tyre Fill Systems GmbH immediately after the acquisition), has announced it will begin producing the Arnco portfolio at the former Rösler facility in Dortmund, Germany. Accella states that the start of Arnco production at the Dortmund site is a “significant milestone” for the company.
On 2 September, US-based polyurethane, plastisol and recycled rubber product manufacturer Accella Performance Materials Inc. (known before May 2014 as Dash Multi-Corp) announced its acquisition of Rösler Tyre Innovators’ “Zeus” tyre fill business for an undisclosed sum. Zeus has become a subsidiary of Accella Polyurethane Systems will operate as Zeus Tyrefill Systems GmbH. Speaking with Tyres & Accessories, Paul Rösler Jr, joint managing director of Rösler Tyre Innovators, provides some further details of the deal and explains why the company decided to exit the tyre fill production business.
Accella Performance Materials, Inc., a manufacturer of polyurethanes, plastisols and recycled rubber products, has announced the acquisition of Zeus Tyrefill Systems GmbH (Zeus), manufacturer of tyre fill systems and flatproofing solutions for heavy duty industrial and “off the road” vehicles. Zeus will be a subsidiary of Accella Polyurethane Systems, further building the tyre fill business along with the Arnco and Pathway Performance Polymers subsidiaries. No price details have been revealed.
OTR and industrial tyre filling and puncture proofing solutions supplier Zeus has published a range of information brochures that offer a helpful introduction to the fundamental technologies employed in its products and their application and benefits. The brochures are initially available in English, French and German.
Zeus’s new generation puncture proofing material called (TRIOfil) drastically reduces tyre related downtime on front end loaders, particularly those operating in the waste, quarrying and mining sectors, according to the company’s tyre flat proofing solutions team. With a new rubber material specification uniquely formulated into its original urethane mix, Zeus’s new TRIOfill is said to be a more effective flat proofing solutions, which also delivers a much cleaner, greener and higher level of physical properties than current products on the market today.
In the drive to operate in a more waste conscious environment, TRIOfill has been developed with recycling in mind, where the aim was not only to more fully enhance current tyre filling performance standards, properties and flexibility of formulations, but also to embrace low carbon technologies, materials and processes in its manufacture and operation.
In July 2005 a case of industrial espionage involving Zeus GmbH, a subsidiary of Germany’s Rösler group, was reported in South Africa. At the time the company was testing a newly developed puncture protection substance, which today is marketed worldwide as Triofill.
Two men illegally entered the Zeus factory building, took photographs of the new Trio fill pump and stole samples of the Triofill. Zeus Gmbh has finally received a 14-page judgment from the South African court regarding the case, and Tyres & Accessories has seen a copy of this judgment. The court has penalised each of the two men with fines of 20,000 rand (£1,400).
Zeus, a division of Dortmund-based Rösler, has launched a new off-highway tyre filling product. The company describes Triofill as being the “next generation” of off-highway tyre filling technology, systems and products, which coupled with a new electrically driven pumping system, will “re-define the way in which tyre filling technology and its wide diversity of applications will grow in the future.”
The international marketing of the new product began in Ireland recently with the appointment of ITS (Industrial Tyre Services, Near Dublin, Ireland) as the Zeus brand’s first Premier Dealer. ITS will have responsibility for launching, distributing and developing Zeus Triofill across Eire.
OTR tyre supplier the Roesler Group is considering legal action after allegations of industrial espionage were made against competitor, the US-based Carpenter Co, in South Africa.
Tyres & Accessories has seen security tapes, which the Roelser group alleges show Carpenter Co executives, bribing their way into a Benoni, South Africa, tyre plant. Copies of the original footage are believed to depict executives touring the Quality Tyres facility and examining prototype technology the company was testing on behalf of the German-based Roesler Group. According to the recordings, two men spent 20 minutes on the premises taking photographs and touring the Benoni, plant before leaving.
