Snap-on Secures “Strong Sales Prospects” at Brityrex

Snap-on Equipment has reported a successful Brityrex International exhibition, held recently in Manchester. The garage equipment manufacturer showcased a comprehensive range, including tyre changers, wheel balancers and advanced full 3D alignment systems. Chris Behan, Snap-on Equipment’s general manager, said that the “on-stand equipment demonstrations proved to be highly effective, resulting in firm orders for the Hofmann Quadriga 1 fully automatic tyre changer, among many others.”

Beissbarth Presents New Generation Wheel Service Gear

Beissbarth GmbH, a Bosch Group company, has announced plans to present its “New Generation of wheel service equipment,” at Brityrex in October. The company, which reports that “three out of four [tyre] retails choose Beissbarth” says it technical sales team will be available to answer questions and give demonstrations on tyre changers, wheel balancers and aligners as well as the new A/Ccellence air conditioning service units.

Manchester Central Redevelopment Ready for October’s Brityrex Show

ECI International, the organiser of Brityrex, says a new-look venue will greet exhibitors and delegates at October’s show at Manchester Central (formerly known as the G-MEX. The venue has spent £30 million over the past two years completing a major redevelopment programme. The most striking result of the investment can be seen by the addition of the new Charter Foyer and the new and extended Central Foyer, which have added cohesion to the venue’s facilities and offer greater ease of access within the Manchester Central site. The new Central Foyer is much larger than its predecessor and has added additional event space.

Wrexham Garage First to Use New Hoffmann Tyre Changer

Snap-on Equipment reports that its first UK customer for the Hofmann Quadriga 1000 automatic tyre changer has taken delivery of the machine. Wrexham-based Minera Tyres & Exhaust has been supplied with the new, state-of-the-art machine, which enables tyres to be automatically demounted and mounted from wheel rims with a diameter of up to 30”. The Quadriga 1000 was supplied by Unipart Garage Equipment Services.

Brityrex Increases Aftermarket Appeal

More exhibitors from across the aftermarket have signed up for October’s Brityrex International exhibition, with familiar names and new brands seeking to capitalise on the potential offered by a post-recession tyre and equipment marketplace. Among the latest names to be confirmed by show organiser ECI International are battery specialist Manbat, Chinese tyre maker Guizhou Tyre Co and a strong hand of garage equipment suppliers in Snap-On Equipment, DQN and JHM Butt & Co.

Brityrex has Sold 70 per cent of Floor Space for 2010 Show

ECI International has confirmed that 70 per cent of stand space for Brityrex International 2010 (5, 6 and 7 October at Manchester Central) has now been sold. Confirming the positive take-up from exhibitors, ECI managing director Paul Farrant said: “We continue to make very good progress with the exhibition and I can put everyone’s mind to rest by confirming that Brityrex will definitely be taking place as planned in Manchester in October. Reaching the 70 per cent milestone at this relatively early stage means we go forward with confidence and in the knowledge that the industry is firmly behind the exhibition.”

According to the show’s organisers, the third staging of Tyrexpo Africa (4, 5 and 6 March 2010 at the Sandton Convention Centre (SCC), Johannesburg) has experienced a late surge of exhibitor bookings taking the show to near stand space capacity.

Euro Car Parts (ECP) says that it will strive to meet motorists demands with its high quality Teco brand tyre changers. Corghi Releases Artiglio 50 Successor

Corghi has released the passenger car tyre changer it hopes will “widen the success of the Artiglio 50,” the Artiglio 500. The new model has been improved on the basis of feedback from the market, resulting in what Corghi hopes will be received as “an even higher performance product.” It will be demonstrated by Apaseal at Brityrex on the 5-7 October, 2010, and will be available from February. The company will continue to provide its “Blue Light” system for wheel balancing.
