New Holland Agriculture has selected the PneuTrac from Trelleborg Wheel Systems as a fitment for its new T4 tractor range. The tyres can be specified for New Holland T4 N/F/LP models in sizes VF480/65R28 and VF280/70R18.
The partnership between Trelleborg Wheel Systems and Giants Software continues for a fifth year with the two firms teaming up in the new Farming Simulator 19 game. Trelleborg has also decided to field an official team in the 2019/20 Farming Simulator League competition.
A new generation of Mitas enduro and extreme enduro tyres will be unveiled tomorrow. Mitas will present its new Terra Force-EF and Terra Force-EH at Erzbergrodeo, a motorsport event held in Austria between 30 May and 2 June.
Trelleborg Wheel Systems has introduced its newest tyre range and systems to enhance productivity in critical OTR applications. The manufacturer’s EMR, Earthmover Radial Series, was displayed at BAUMA in two sizes: 29.5R25 EMR 1030 and 17.5R25 EMR 1025. The range is designed to perform and to enhance productivity in construction applications, increasing both damage protection and durability. Its multi-surface tread design provides control and perfect grip on sand, rock, gravel or soil. It joined the multipurpose bias tyre, the MPX TB construction pneumatic designed for telehandler and compact loader applications in the most demanding environments.
A full reengineering of steam generation equipment at the Trelleborg Wheel Systems plant in Sri Lanka will improve the facility’s environmental footprint as well as its production efficiency. Trelleborg is installing a new biomass boiler at the production site in Makola, near Colombo; it reports that work on this “major investment” has already begun, and the new process will be fully operational from June 2019.

Three new Trelleborg industrial tyre compounds were shown at last week’s ProMat 2019 show in the USA. Trelleborg Wheel Systems says all are designed to provide users with increased productivity, safety, sustainability and value. The compounds are: ProTEX, an electrically-conducting, non-marking compound; ProHD – a heavy duty compound for increasing load capacity; and Heat Shield – a flame-retardant super premium compound.
Visitors to this year’s Bauma construction and mining machinery trade fair are amongst the first to see Phoenix TPMS, a new cloud-based system for construction tyres from Trelleborg Wheel Systems. Trelleborg claims its Phoenix TPMS will “enhance productivity in critical applications and to make the operator’s life easier in the most demanding environments.”
Trelleborg Wheel Systems has acquired Provana Solutions srl and Provana Quality Center srl. Provana Solutions specializes in the distribution and service of tyres and complete wheels to tractor dealers and farmers in Italy. Provana Quality Center provides testing of various tyre solutions to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of agricultural machinery. The acquisitions will enable the development of the business area’s service concept for agricultural tyres in Europe.
Trelleborg Wheel Systems is investing in a two-wheel tyre factory in India. According to the company, the investment forms part of Trelleborg’s strategy to “strengthen its positions in attractive market segments”. Currently Trelleborg’s mostly makes two-wheel tyres in Europe. Products include tyres for selected niches, such as enduro and motocross, as well as scooters,
mopeds and motorcycles.

A new app from Trelleborg will be introduced at the EIMA show in Bologna next month. The Trelleborg TLC Plus app is a sensor-based check-up system that measures the potential difference in tyre pressure between the optimum pressure and actual inflation pressure and relays this information wireless to the farmer’s mobile device or computer.
On 29 June 2018, Trelleborg inaugurated its new European logistics hub for material handling and construction tires and its new Benelux commercial office in Evergem, Belgium. The new premises consist of a 10,000 square metre warehouse along with offices to house the Benelux commercial office for Trelleborg Wheels Systems. Holding more than 70,000 tyres in stock, Trelleborg Wheel Systems can serve its European warehouses and key customers in the region from this facility on a JIT basis.
Trelleborg Wheel Systems has finalised its acquisition of New Zealand’s TRS Tyre & Wheel Ltd from automotive market company Bapcor Limited. TRS Tyre & Wheel distributes agricultural, material handling and construction tyres throughout New Zealand, specialising in the provision of tyres and complete wheels for tyre and tractor dealers.
Trelleborg has recruited two new dealer groups to its Trelleborg Professional Centre (TPC) network of top-class, high-quality agricultural tyre dealers in the UK. British Rubber Company (BRC) based in Shipley, Yorkshire and Woodton Tyres, based in Turiff, Aberdeenshire, have joined the network.
