Trelleborg Wheel Systems posts positive 2013 results

Depending on whether you prefer the figure for continuing operations or the total consolidated result, Trelleborg Group net sales either rose 1.0 per cent – or declined 14.9 per cent – to SEK 21,262 million (£1.96 billion) in the 2013 fiscal year. The consolidated result was down from SEK 25,237 million in 2012 and includes the impact felt from the formation of TrelleborgVibracoustic, the joint venture formed with Freudenberg in 2012. Operating profit for 2013 came to SEK 2,815 million (£259.47 million).

Trelleborg extends credit facilities

TrelleborgAB, parent company of Trelleborg Wheel Systems, and Trelleborg Treasury AB have jointly concluded an agreement regarding an extension of the existing syndicated credit facilities that were established in 2011. The extended credit facilities total €750 million and US$625 million, have a tenor of five years and will mature in December 2018, with an option of extension thereafter for a maximum of two further years.

KRT bringing new Taurus sizes to LAMMA

Kings Road Tyres, a leading distributor of Michelin, Kleber, Goodyear, Trelleborg, Firestone and Taurus agricultural tyres, has confirmed its presence at next month’s LAMMA 2014 farm machinery and equipment show. Trelleborg awarded for ProgressiveTraction technology

During last week’s Agritechnica exhibition, German agricultural publishing group Deutscher Landwirtschaftverlag, or DLV, held its ‘Machine of the Year 2014’ awards. The publisher acknowledged machinery manufacturers in 16 classes of award and, additionally, presented a ‘special prize’ category – which was awarded to Trelleborg for its ProgressiveTraction technology.

Trelleborg eyes expansion through Italian acquisition

Trelleborg Wheel Systems has signed an agreement to acquire the industrial tyre business belonging to Italian firm Pircher Alfred s.a.s. The business specialises in the distribution and service of industrial tyres, such as those fitted on forklift trucks. Trelleborg says the acquisition further strengthens and enlarges its European industrial tyre distribution network, and offers the opportunity to further grow the Interfit industrial tyre service business that the company took on through its acquisition of Watts Tyre Group in early 2011.

The Agritechnica show has begun in Germany, and yesterday Trelleborg attended the Tractor of The Year awards 2014 as official partner. Trelleborg claims widest tread width and footprint

Trelleborg Wheel Systems is preparing to present what it claims will be the largest agricultural tyre on the market in terms of footprint and tread width. The giant IF900/65R46 TM1000 High Power tyre will be available to view on the stand at Agritechnica between 10 and 16 November 2013 in Hannover, Germany.

Effective September 2013, Bob Tate has been appointed Midwest sales manager for Trelleborg Agricultural and Forestry Tires in North America. Trelleborg to launch 3 apps at Agritechnica

Trelleborg has announced plans to launch three new apps at Agritechnica 2013, which is taking place from 10 to 16 November in Hannover, Germany. The new software will offer tools to help customers with Tyre Efficiency, Dealer Location and aTtraction. In addition the firm report that it is updating its existing apps – Load Calculator, Tyre Book and Tyre iBrochure.
