The Davanti Tyres team confirms that the first track tyre in the Davanti range is now available. The Davanti Protoura Race is produced in sizes for 13- to 18-inch rims and “designed to provide unbeatable performance on the track.” Davanti Tyres is supporting the new track tyre’s release with engagements in motorsport activities, including the Swift Sport Challenge that got underway for 2025 at Brands Hatch last weekend.
An aquaplaning measuring solution devised by Tread Ltd founder Ray Collier has won the prestigious Autocar Drivers of Change Digital Award. According to the award citation, Collier’s one-box solution offers a unique way of reducing the R&D costs associated with car and light truck/van tyres.
Davanti has launched its new ultra-high performance tyre for the premium vehicle market, the Protoura Sport. The brand calls the Protoura Sport its “most advanced car tyre,” with “decades of engineering expertise” and “thousands of miles of testing” going into its development. “With Protoura Sport, we’ve created a tyre with many new and innovative features,” said Davanti Tyres general manager Peter Cross. “This tyre sets a new bar for responsiveness, handling and performance. It’s at one with the driver.” Davanti previewed the tyre just over a year ago at its first international dealer conference, where it discussed development plans for its range and brand development. It had previously previewed the tyre at 2019 trade shows.
A year after Tread Ltd added a Golf 8 to its vehicle line-up, the testing specialist has once again upgraded its tyre test fleet in a move that includes SUV and 4×4 investment.
UK-based tyre test specialists Tread Ltd has taken delivery of a new Golf 8 test vehicle. Up till now Tread’s company-owned tyre test fleet has included models such as the: Audi 736 SUV Q7; Audi B9 UUHP S5; VW MQB V7 Golf GTI UHP; and a VW T6 LTR.
