Off-highway tyre specialist Alliance Tire Group (ATG) says it will launch “a broad range of new products in the flotation and agri-transport segment” at this November’s Agritechnica. While the tyre maker hasn’t yet provided full details of everything it intends to release at the show, it confirms that a new portfolio of Alliance all-steel high speed flotation radials for agricultural trailers will be on display.
Pirelli is celebrating 2000 homologations of its premium products. In the first half of 2015 alone, the Italian firm added 200 new homologations to its line-up, including those some of the most high profile vehicles at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show. These include the new Bentley Bentayga; the Mercedes GLC, BMW X1, BMW 7 Series and Jaguar F-Pace.
Apollo Vredestein is sharing a joint IAA stand with Mansory, a German luxury car ‘tuner’. According to the companies, the stand will showcase several new and unique Mansory creations equipped with Vredestein tyres. In addition, the IAA will mark the starting point of #RockTheRoad.

The 2015 edition of the China International Tire Expo opened Wednesday in Shanghai, with around 350 exhibitors – the show’s most ever. The sustained growth represented by these numbers has led to the decision by organiser Reliable International Exhibition Services to transfer CITExpo to the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center (SWEECC), built in the centre of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo site. The show also boasts strong continuity, with around 80 per cent of 2014 exhibitors back in 2015, according to Reliable; in past years the organiser has come to expect a similar proportion of its customers booking their space for the following year during CITExpo.
Speedline Truck has announced plans to debut a new forged truck wheel at NUFAM between 24 and 27 September 2015. The Karlsruhe, Germany event sees over 300 exhibitors in an area of more than 60,000 m² representing every segment of the sector: commercial vehicles in every weight class, vehicle fittings, superstructures, cranes, workshop equipment and accessories.
PCL has welcomed Messe Frankfurt’s decision to bring its international automotive show to the UK next year. Automechanika Birmingham, in partnership with trade association SMMT, will take place at the NEC, 7 – 9 June 2016, and PCL has already confirmed attendance.
The North American Tire & Retread Expo will add a tyre recycling section – “Tire Recycling World” – on a permanent basis from the 2016 edition of the show. The Tire Retread & Repair Information Bureau says it will be present as an exhibitor at The Great American Trucking Show in Dallas, Texas from 27 to 29 August. The organisation views trades exhibitions such as this as “important opportunities to speak directly to end-users to showcase the benefits of retreaded tyres,” and during the show will display a large-screen version of its two latest videos (The Environmental Benefits of Retreading and The True Causes of Rubber on the Roads) and distribute copies of its 16-page ‘Understanding Retreading’ brochure.
GT Radial will focus on the revised GSR225 Combi Road and GAU861 all-position urban city-bus tyres at Coach & Bus Live 2015. The GSR225 Combi Road, across sizes 275/70R22.5, 295/80R22.5, 315/60R22.5, 315/70R22.5 and 315/80R22.5, has seen an increase in load index capacity up to 158/150L to further meet Euro VI requirements.
Brake Engineering is planning a major brand refresh and has signed up to a number of events to ensure the trade takes full advantage. Commencing the beginning of October, Brake Engineering is exhibiting at the Groupauto Trade Show, Mechanex Donington, AutoTrade Expo (Dublin) and Mechanex Sandown Park, alongside its attendance at the IAAF Annual Conference and Awards Dinner in December.
The organiser of Automechanika Frankfurt reports that 65 per cent of exhibition space for next year’s event has already been booked. To date, more than 1,700 exhibitors from 59 countries have registered for the show, which takes place between 13 and 17 September 2016.
Motor Wheel Service Distribution (MWSD) is taking its wheel safety campaign to Coach & Bus Live 2015. The distributor will also display the latest xlite forged aluminium and Chevron stamped steel wheels. Located on stand B15, the leading wheel supplier will place a major educational focus on the impending EU Roadworthiness Act, which became law in May 2014 and must be implemented by Member States by May 2017, and will positively affect the UK commercial vehicle industry.
The organisers of Automechanika Birmingham are reporting that the event, which will 7-9 June 2016, is already 35 per cent booked just a month after the exhibition was announced. Automechanika is the result of a partnership between the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) and Messe Frankfurt, the company behind well-known Automechanika trade fair brand.
