In order to give an impression of the kind of clientele Tire+ is attracting, it worth looking a little closer at the show’s exhibitor list. With this in mind here are 12 of the biggest tyre manufacturers exhibiting at the events inaugural show:
The three-day Tyrexpo India trade fair concluded yesterday, and organiser SingEx Exhibitions reports the attendance of 2,017 trade visitors at the show in Chennai. There they met with close to 80 exhibitors from 30 countries and participated in added-value programmes such as the TyreTalk/GarageTalk seminars and Tyrexpo/GarageXpo technical workshops. SingEx comments that the seminars and workshops were well received.
Following shows in Chennai in 2015 and New Delhi in 2016, Tyrexpo India 2017 will open next week in Chennai alongside the inaugural GarageXpo India 2017. This latest edition of the Tyrexpo India Series will be presented between 11 and 13 July and visitors can expect several features including the established TyreTalk and GarageTalk seminars.
Two years after the brand’s launch at Autopromotec, and after two years of development, Davanti is bringing four new winter patterns to the Bologna show later this month. The Davanti team exhibiting at Autopromotec will also be larger, following the recent appointment of two key team members.
When the doors to the inaugural The Tire Cologne open in just over a year’s time, visitors to the show will find all of the ten largest international tyre manufacturers amongst the exhibitors. Show organiser Koelnmesse GmbH reports completing the ‘top ten’ set with the recent signing up of Hankook Tire. It also confirms that number 11 on the list of global tyre majors, Cooper Tire & Rubber, is now also on board for next year’s exhibition.
The organiser of the North American Tire & Retread Expo (NATRE) concedes that last month’s event in New Orleans did not meet expectations. As a result, NATRE will not return in its current format, and the next scheduled show has been postponed while the concept is reconsidered.
Automechanika Birmingham opens its doors at the NEC from 6-8 June for the second time, to a truly international automotive networking event for the aftermarket and supply chain. The exhibition will be 70 per cent bigger than in 2016, hosting over 800 exhibitors with 50 per cent of whom are from 35 countries around the globe, gathering to showcase their latest products and new technologies.
Autogem managing director and NTDA chairman elect Prashant Chopra is to address delegates at Automechanika Birmingham. Last year he talked TPMS and sharks, this year he plans to speak on growing new revenue streams for the workshop, sports and learner drivers.
We’re spoiled for choice when it comes to tyre trade exhibitions, and therefore the organisers behind these shows must compete to convince the industry that theirs is the one to visit. When Autopromotec 2017 takes place in Bologna, Italy between 24 and 28 May 2017, tyres will be a key sector. Indeed, according to company representatives, the 2017 show will be the first time all the most important international tyre manufacturers will be present at the same time. As a result, show organisers Promotec Spa point out that this strong presence means more exhibition space devoted to the tyre business, not to mention a busy calendar events and workshops as part of the AutopromotecEDU programme.
Hamaton Ltd, has announced that it will be exhibiting at the upcoming Autopromotec show in Bologna in Hall 22, Stand A4.
Falken will show its most energy-efficient tyre to date for electric and hybrid vehicles and launch its 2017 race car when the Sumitomo brand exhibits for the first time at the Geneva International Motor Show on 7-19 March 2017 (Hall 6, Booth 6238, Palexpo).

Autopromotec 2017, the most specialised international exhibition of automotive equipment and aftermarket products, being held in Bologna from 24th-28th, is shaping up to be an even more dynamic and must-attend event than past editions, say the organisers.
