Davanti Tyres is returning to CITExpo in Shanghai, China, exhibiting at the 2023 show. After a short break due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Davanti will showcase 17 products covering all seasons during the event which takes place 4-6 September. And what’s more, the CITExpo line-up includes previews of a number of new products.
Hankook will showcase its iON range of specialist electric vehicle tyres at the London EV Show (28-30 November, ExCel London, Stand number ES11). The London EV Show is the largest international trade show and conference focused on the electric vehicle industry in Europe. Hankook launched the iON range in 2022, tyres with a technological emphasis on EVs leading to reduced rolling resistance, low noise, and high resilience. This means that compared to conventional tyres, the tyres offer increased range per battery charge. Hankook iON products are also designed for the high torque immediately produced by powerful electric vehicles. Overall this means a better driving experience for EV drivers.
The organiser of The Tire Cologne 2024 promises to pay even more attention to the circular economy at next year’s show, with tyre retreading and recycling now “concentrated in a centrally located themed area.” The tyre industry exhibition returns to Cologne, Germany between 4 and 6 June 2024.
The 2023 Guangrao tyre exhibition came to an end on May 17, bringing to an end its first live show – held “offline” – since 2019. Tyrepress attended the three-day 2023 exhibition, and noted similarities with the past but also some changes in exhibitors and visitors to the show. On May 17, 2023, the three-day 13th China (Guangrao) International Rubber Tire & Auto Accessory Exhibition (ChinaGRTAE 2023) ended, with Chinese language Tyrepress sister site, Tyrepress China in attendance. An organiser press conference on the last day of the show claimed that ChinaGRTAE 2023 had “achieved outstanding results”. According to preliminary statistics, more than 830 trade intentions, agreements, and contracts were reached on May 15th and 16th, exceeding 21.9 billion yuan. One special event hosted by the exhibition achieved more than 330 “one-to-one” negotiations, reaching an intention amount of 2.3 billion yuan.
The 13th China (Guangrao) International Rubber Tire & Auto Accessory Exhibition (ChinaGRTAE 2023), will be officially unveiled in a few days. On 8 May, a week before the start of the exhibition, the government of Dongying, the city to which Guangrao County belongs, held a press conference on the overall situation relating to the exhibition. At the time, the organisers said that between 15-17 May at least 20,000 professional visitors will participate in the exhibition, and more than 800 foreign businessmen would visit. On 15 May, the 13th China (Guangrao) International Rubber Tire & Auto Accessory Exhibition (ChinaGRTAE 2023) opens. The UK Garage and Bodyshop Event has unveiled its line-up of expert trainers and guest speakers for its inaugural June event at Birmingham’s NEC, to support the UK garage and body shop industry through the biggest change it’s ever experienced. The first part of the roster of guest speakers offering industry insight and technical talks from 8-9 June has now been revealed. Giving the opening address at the event will be Andy Hamilton of LKQ Euro Car Parts, who will followed by more than 40 others, including Dean Lander of Thatcham, James Dillon, Steve Carter, ‘The Garage Inspector’ Andy Savva, Quentin Le Hetet of GiPA and many more.
After a four-year absence, The Tire Cologne is preparing to make a comeback in May. Continental, Falken, Hankook, Michelin and Pirelli have already signed up as exhibitors. Show organiser Koelnmesse and conceptual sponsor the German Tyre Retail and Vulcanisation Trade Association (BRV) discussed their plans at a digital press conference this morning.
The Autosport International Show scheduled for January 2022 has been postponed. According the event’s organisers, the decision was made “in response to the ongoing Covid-19 variants and the Government’s recent directives related to the Omicron variant”. No new date for the 31st edition of the Autosport International Show has yet been confirmed.
In response to tougher local Covid measures and the ever-present risk of travel restrictions, the organiser of Agritechnica has confirmed the show’s postponement. The event scheduled to take place between 27 February and 5 March will no longer take place, and the German Agricultural Society (DLG) now plans to hold the next Agritechnica between 12 and 18 November 2023.
The past 18 months have been “very challenging and unique”, comments Sailun Tyre Europe. But the company now says it is delighted to announce participation in two forthcoming trade shows. The first is here in the UK: In conjunction with Kirkby Tyres, local distributor of the Sailun truck tyre range, the tyre maker will occupy a 125 square metre stand within Hall 4 of the NEC when the Commercial Vehicle Show comes opens in Birmingham on 31 August.
