Schrader TPMS Solutions has launched two new bundles containing software upgrade bundles for its ST-1 TPMS programming tool and its 16 EZ-sensor GO. The TPMS specialist says these upgrade bundles are “created with workshops in mind” and allow users to unlock the ST-1 tool to programme other programmable sensor brands supported by ATEQ.
Enhanced safety, performance, and data insights are benefits that Sensata Technologies says vehicle and tyre OEMs can expect from its newest tyre mounted sensor. The company describes this Sensata Tire Mounted Sensor as the “next step in the evolution of tyre sensing.” Leveraging the tyre as the single point of contact between vehicle and road, Sensata promises that the sensor will “deliver new insights, beyond just pressure and temperature.”
Repairify is an advanced vehicle diagnostic and calibration technology company that includes the formerly separate brands asTech and Red. Speaking to Tyres & Accessories, company representatives explained how Repairify is “constantly researching the market, anticipating challenges, and acquiring new products to meet these requirements, and identifying opportunities to enable its customers to tap into potential new revenue streams.” In short, that means serving the market through current and future treads and new tools and software – including drive-over tread readers.
In November, Repairify’s US office, Repairify Inc, introduced plans to launch the Repairify Institute, a comprehensive technical training program for automotive professionals designed to ensure service readiness, in 2023.
Tyresure, a leading distributor of TPMS products, is now offering an aftermarket BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) sensor for Tesla vehicles. The aptly named T-Pro Hybrid BLE is a direct replacement for the Tesla OE sensor manufactured by Sysgration.
Autogem has completed its first report into TPMS expertise in the aftermarket and has created free ‘tune-up’ sessions in response to its findings. The 2021 and 2022 NTDA aftermarket supplier of the year is offering online tutorials devised following a data gathering exercise into technicians’ TPMS troubleshooting skills.
Northern Ireland’s public transport provider Translink is rolling out Wheely-Safe technology across its entire fleet in one of Wheely Safe’s largest fleet wins to date. Cambridgeshire haulier G.Webb is trialling Continental’s new tyre pressure monitoring system platform, ContiConnect 2.0, fitting the latest upgrade to the majority of its fleet. The bulk haulage specialist is a long-term user of Continental Digital Solutions, and fleet engineering director Paul Broker has declared himself “a fan of the ContiConnect platform from the outset.” The new platform moves to the next step by introducing predictive maintenance, while also adding additional options via the app.
