Continental Commercial Specialty Tyres (CST) and the Belgian specialist for port tow tractors and trailer solutions MOL have announced their cooperation at the TOC fair in Amsterdam. The fair for port, shipping and terminal technology took place from 27 June through to 29 June in Amsterdam.
Following a competition recently held by Tyresure at the Automechanika exhibition for the chance to receive a free TPMS training session, the winner has now been confirmed as M-Sport Wheels Ltd. The business will receive comprehensive training from Tyresure’s TPMS experts, providing them with in-depth knowledge and IMI certification, once a suitable date has been arranged.
Hamaton Ltd has launched a brand new TPMS sensor for the European aftermarket. The EU-Pro Hybrid is the latest addition to Hamaton’s product range and is the next generation in universal sensor technology, with several new and upgraded features that have been adapted from their successful EU-Pro range.
Michelin will unveil its wireless tyre pressure management system at Automechanika Birmingham 6-8 June. The accessory will be distributed by Fit2Go, and is designed to be user-friendly; it can be installed in under three minutes.
Sumitomo Rubber reports that the company has developed a new tyre-sensing technology called Sensing Core. Sensing Core is designed to detect road conditions, tyre load and other information by analyzing the wheel speed signals that are generated by the rotation of the tyres. Sumitomo says the technology will play a role in the advancement of autonomous vehicle technology.
Bartec Auto ID Limited (Bartec) has been named as one of the London Stock Exchange Group’s ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’. The report celebrates the UK’s most inspiring and fastest-growing companies. The Barnsley based, family-owned company was formed in 1992 and has become a tyre pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) global leader, fulfilling the criteria set out by the London Stock Exchange Group and supported by the UK government.
Devices offered by Ruptela, a provider of fleet management solutions based on GPS tracking and real-time vehicle monitoring and control, now includes real-time tyre monitoring following the integration of ContiPressureCheck into its suite of solutions. Tyre data collected with ContiPressureCheck will be available to both the dispatcher’s computer and the driver of the vehicle via a network connection with Ruptela’s system.
TPMS specialists Tyresure Ltd are “looking forward” to demonstrating the firm’s “innovative product range” to customers from Hall 20, Stand E80. Tyresure plan to exhibit the company’s complete TPMS product line at the event, including its universal T-Pro sensor range which covers over 90 per cent of TPMS-equipped vehicles, as well as OE-R replacement sensors, diagnostic tools, TPMS valves, service parts, and accessories.
Although the fitment of tyre pressure monitoring systems, or TPMS, in cars has only been mandatory since 2012, retrofit kits are available for older vehicles. Auto Express has tested nine such products.
Bartec Auto ID Limited (Bartec) has upgraded its PC software program, TPMS Desktop, but it remains free-of-charge to its 11,000 tyre and repair shop users. Bartec’s update includes referencing processes and technical information data, as well as new coverage of 2017 make-model-years of cars, TPMS sensors and vehicle relearn processes.
Autogem managing director and NTDA chairman elect Prashant Chopra is to address delegates at Automechanika Birmingham. Last year he talked TPMS and sharks, this year he plans to speak on growing new revenue streams for the workshop, sports and learner drivers.
RL Automotive has announced plans to outline its TyreWatch PTM (Predictive Tyre Management) technology at the CV Show.
Hamaton Ltd, has announced that it will be exhibiting at the upcoming Autopromotec show in Bologna in Hall 22, Stand A4.
Bartec Auto ID will host an interactive workshop and seminar programme during its second visit to Automechanika Birmingham. The programme will focus on TPMS (tyre pressure monitoring systems) at a time when record MOT failures attributable to TPMS are in the news. Bartec will exhibit from stand 20D100 at the NEC.
