Continental will work with with Samsara, a global telematics provider, to deliver comprehensive, data-driven fleet management solutions for truck trailers. Both companies will exchange data points to provide customers with access to a broad spectrum of trailer data, including in-tyre sensor data from Continental, such as tyre pressure and mileage.

Continental has launched a new version of its ContiConnect Lite app. The digital tyre management software creates a bridge between tyre sensors fitted to tyres either retroactively or increasingly at the factory and certain features of digitalised tyre management. Netherlands-based tyre company Magna Tyres confirms its presence as an exhibitor at this year’s The Tire Cologne in Germany, stating that participation in the tyre industry show aligns with its “ongoing brand image momentum in the heavy tyre market sector.” The Magna Tyres sales team will present a range of products for mining, earthmoving, industrial, port handling, crane operations and agricultural applications. They will also highlight two recent additions to the product line-up, the M-Truck tyre series and Magna’s proprietary Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.

Translogik reports that it has helped TyreSafe improve its tyre maintenance information campaigns across the UK by providing them with the latest Translogik tyre inspection tools, which TyreSafe will use to rapidly inspect and capture tyre condition information during 2024.
Timberpak is a recycling and reprocessing company that has sourced waste wood for the EGGER UK’s chipboard production for more than 20 years, operating from four recycling sites in Washington, Leeds, St Albans and Bellshill. Following a successful trial, the company is equipping its vehicles with the Wheely-Safe in-motion wheel loss detection system, which combines brake and hub temperature monitoring with an intelligent tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), to improve the efficiency and safety of its operations.
