Litchfield has released its latest ‘cloning’ Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) sensors, designed for GT-R owners needing to run multiple wheel-sets. Aimed at solving a problem for its GT-R driving clients, Litchfield says the sensors will be a useful addition to extra winter or track wheels, as drivers will not have to recode the sensors each time they are change.

New research published by Direct Line for Business reveals that Britain’s builders, plumbers, electricians and other tradespeople are living out of their vans – using them as mobile offices, bedrooms and entertainment centres. While not wanting to be accused of being asleep on the job, Britain’s tradespeople are using their vans as mobile homes with 11 per cent sleeping in their vehicle. Almost a third (31 per cent) of tradespeople use their van as a mobile office to manage their business. Vans are also used as mobile dining rooms, with just under a half (45 per cent) of tradespeople eating their meals in their vehicle.
The National Tyre Distributors Association (NTDA) has agreed a deal with show organiser ECI International to become the major sponsor of Brityrex International 2014, continuing a long-established relationship between the two organisations. Oman’s official news agency reports that the country’s Public Authority for Consumer Protection (PACP) has taken action against an establishment that regrooved end of life passenger car tyres and sold them to consumers as semi-new. In a statement, PACP chairman Dr. Said bin Khamis al-Ka'abi shared that a number of businesses, with links to “some expats”, have sold tyres unfit for use as semi-new; he referred to this as a “serious crime” that has “negative dimensions and effects on the safety of consumers.”
