GSF Car Parts has launched what its claims is its “best ever line-up” of air conditioning solutions. Available to review in full in the spring issue of ‘Garage Essentials’ in April, the new air-con units, which include labour-saving automation, leak detection, vehicle databases and on-board printers, appear alongside a comprehensive range of workshop equipment, available from members of The Parts Alliance.
Fast-growing tools brand Angry Jester has launched a new under-bonnet work light, now available exclusively from The Parts Alliance. The unit features 120 LEDs, split into two rows of 60 which can give even distribution of up to 700 Lumens of bright white light, with the option to run at half power with only one row lit.

Servicesure Autocentres, The Parts Alliance garage programme, has announced a new partnership with Slicker Recycling aimed at streamlining waste collection for its garage members. Slicker Recycling will offer the growing national network a simple ‘one call’ solution. Once contacted, they respond by arriving almost anywhere in the UK to collect and process business waste.
GSF Car Parts say this winter has seen record sales on their workshop heater programme from Z M Heaters, with sales rising by over 40 per cent. The success has been attributed to two key causes; first has been the growing support of The Parts Alliance. Since September, the trading group has moved to adopt the Garage Essentials programme created by GSF across the trading group. This has seen 90 more branches of CES, GMF, Allparts, Car Parts & Accessories, SC Motor Factors, SAS Autoparts, Waterloo and BMF gain access to the heater programme.
Delphi and The Parts Alliance have launched a promotion that will allow six garage customers enjoy the road trip of a lifetime along Route 66. The ‘Dream Drive’ promotion will run for two months (from 1 March to the end of April) across The Parts Alliance’s South West branches and through members Allparts, CES, GMF, SC Motor Factors, Dingbro, BBC Superfactors and BMS Superfactors. The promotion is being supported by a website, dreamdriveusa.com.
The Parts Alliance has been named CAT magazine’s ‘Factor Chain of the Year’. The Award came on Friday 10 February at an industry awards ceremony at Manchester’s renowned Lowry Hotel. The national trading group was represented by the eight branches in its South West region. They were shortlisted in recognition of a dramatic turnaround in fortunes under The Parts Alliance’s ownership. The branches were all previously part of the Unipart network, but have since been developed with significant investment from The Parts Alliance.
The Parts Alliance member BBC Superfactors has added five new Nissan NV200 vans to their growing fleet, helping support their ‘one hour’ order delivery target for garage customers.
The Parts Alliance’s South West region has been nominated for a national CAT magazine award. There will be a total of six CAT 2017 awards to celebrate leading achievements within the UK aftermarket. The Parts Alliance (South West) has been recognised in a shortlist of only four businesses in contention to be named ‘Factor Chain of the Year’. The Parts Alliance states the nomination comes in recognition of “a real turnaround in fortunes” for a group of eight branches once part of the Unipart network.
HgCapital-owned Parts Alliance Group has acquired Waterloo (Motor Trade) Ltd. The company will continue to trade under its own name, serving customers in the East Riding of Yorkshire, with branches in Hull, Beverley and Bridlington. Waterloo was founded in 1928 by current managing director Jim Munday’s grandfather.
Servicesure Autocentres, The Parts Alliance garage programme, has reached 400 garage members. The programme provides a comprehensive range of business services designed to contribute towards increased productivity and profitability. Servicesure members can currently call upon more than 30 business services, covering such considerations as signage, business insurance, vehicle leasing, waste disposal and workwear through to technical training.
Servicesure Autocentres, the garage network run by The Parts Alliance, has welcomed the launch of The Motor Ombudsman. Paul Dineen, the network’s Head of Garage Programmes, said drivers would be given extra confidence knowing the service was there to offer help if things went wrong.

The Parts Alliance has been nominated for the ‘Car Distributor of the Year’ award, which is given annually by the Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF). Winners of this and other categories will be announced at the IAAF Awards Dinner. The event itself will see around 600 people gather at Birmingham’s ICC on 15th December for an evening’s entertainment hosted by journalist John Sergeant.
