The Parts Alliance has secured a long-term exclusive Western European distribution agreement to sell the Bendix brand of braking products. The agreement covers a full range of light vehicle aftermarket product categories. The company will initially focus on friction material products used in braking systems. GSF Car Parts, a subsidiary of The Parts Alliance, has a long history selling Bendix braking products in the UK. The new marketing programme will highlight Bendix’s historical reputation for quality, and the benefits of increasing quality options for the consumer in deciding between replacement parts.
GSF Car Parts reports sales so far in 2017 from the Garage Essentials workshop equipment tooling programme have reached record levels, citing several factors.
The Parts Alliance has completed its acquisition of Blackburn Brakes Holding Limited, owner of BBC Superfactors Ltd (BBC), a leading distributor of vehicle parts in the Lancashire market. BBC, an affiliated member of The Parts Alliance, has a network of seven locations across the county. Employing more than 150, it makes more than 1,000 deliveries per day to commercial customers with approximately 97 per cent of orders delivered within one hour. It has been in business for more than 30 years.

The Parts Alliance has teamed up with Delphi for the second time in 2017 to run its new ‘Best of Brakes’ promotion. The distributor states that it hopes to build on the success of spring’s ‘Dream Drive’ promotion, which saw surging sales and six lucky garage winners taking memorable Route 66 road trips. This time around, there are six spectacular holidays to be won during September and October, to destinations throughout the world.
Uni-Select Inc. has completed the acquisition of 100 per cent of the shares of PA Topco Limited (The Parts Alliance), the second largest national independent distributor of automotive aftermarket parts in the UK. As previously announced, the £205 million pricetag was fully funded with debt from available credit facilities.
The Parts Alliance has acquired BMS Superfactors, their Greater Manchester-based associate member. BMS Superfactors has four branches in Bury, Oldham, Rochdale and Dukinfield, collectively employing over 120 staff.
The Parts Alliance has called its Dream Drive promotion, run in conjunction with Delphi during March and April, “an unprecedented success.” Head of marketing, Simon Moore said: “There’s no doubt the Route 66 road trips have really captured customer imagination. Angry Jester, The Parts Alliance’s exclusive automotive equipment brand, says the Kheos Plus R134a Air Conditioning Machine is the trading group’s lowest-ever priced air con package. The unit comes with a database of oil types and refrigerant charge weights for most UK vehicles. The price also includes onsite commissioning, training and an F-Gas licence for one operator.
Servicesure Autocentres, The Parts Alliance garage programme, are urging motorists to check out the new Brakesure offer of lifetime replacement on brake pads, which is now available from over 200 garages within the Servicesure network right around the UK.
The Parts Alliance member BBC Superfactors has moved premises just a year after first opening in Preston. The new building boasts double the footprint at 10,000 square feet and has a full mezzanine too, boosting storage capacity to around 20,000 square feet.

The Parts Alliance’s garage programme, Servicesure Autocentres has recruited 50 new garages since the start of 2017. The parts distributor adds that the rate of joining has consistently averaged 15 garages per month since the latter part of 2016.
The Parts Alliance will promote its steering and suspension range with a prize draw for three customers to win a Spitfire flight. The initiative will run through May only, and is supported by members Allparts, CES, GMF, SC Motor Factors, The Parts Alliance South West, SAS, Waterloo, Dingbro, BBC Superfactors and BMS Superfactors.
