It looks like the SUV game as we know it is going to change considerably. Pirelli’s latest homologation is for Tesla’s new SUV, the Model X. And with publications such as the Daily Telegraph describing Tesla’s previous launch – the Model S – as the “most significant new car of the last 20 years”, it’s clear that the latest product could be just as revolutionary. Especially when you look at the performance figures.
Tesla Motors has selected the Pirelli Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico as an original equipment tyre for its new SUV, the Model X. The M+S marked tyre will be supplied to Tesla in size 265/35ZR22 102W for the front wheels and size 285/35ZR22 106W for the rear.
As a luxury class saloon, the Tesla S stands out from the electric vehicle crowd, making it an interesting vehicle for aftermarket wheel supplier Alutec. The manufacturer has announced that its Pearl alloy wheel will be available for the car in stylish carbon grey in the dimensions 8.5×19 inch and 9.0×20 inch.
Currently, electric car batteries are expensive and don’t give enough range per charge for drivers.
