Bridgestone shares that its Webfleet fleet management solution has “smashed” the Guiness World Records title for the greatest distance travelled by an electric van on a single charge. Webfleet-sponsored drivers Kevin Booker, Sam Clarke and Fergal McGrath drove a Fiat E-Scudo fitted with Bridgestone Duravis tyres 311.18 miles (500.8 km) in total.
Bridgestone Mobility Solutions is partnering with digital service provider RIO, a part of Traton SE and sister company to MAN, Scania, and Volkswagen Truck & Bus. The collaboration involves integrating Bridgestone’s Webfleet fleet management solution with MAN trucks using the existing RIO Box OEM hardware.
Webfleet is a Frost & Sullivan Company of the Year, with the Bridgestone fleet management system gaining the 2022 European Commercial Fleet Telematics Company of the Year Award. This is the second consecutive year that Frost & Sullivan has honoured Webfleet with this distinction.
Bridgestone claims to be, together with its Webfleet fleet management solution, on a “mission to move the world towards a sustainable future of mobility.” Both will be present at IAA Transportation 2022 to showcase a portfolio of tyres, tyre-centric technologies and mobility solutions and to give fleets an opportunity to learn more about their products and data-driven mobility solutions and how they can enhance performance.
Based on its recent analysis of the fleet telematics market, Frost & Sullivan has recognised Bridgestone’s Webfleet Solutions with the 2021 European Fleet Telematics Company of the Year Award. The panel commended Webfleet Solutions for its strong leadership position and its innovative products, solutions and services that meet ever-evolving customer needs.
