Supertacker has extended its green laser technology to the STR T4 Twin Steer laser aligner for commercial vehicles. The introduction of green laser on this product follows the debut of the STR1 laser system for cars last year.
The Shortis Group has invested in Supertracker computerised wheel alignment systems for their Wilco Motosave and Fast-Fit centres. The family-owned motorist’s stores are replacing many of their Supertracker laser wheel alignment systems with the very latest Computerised 6-sensor wheel alignment systems from Supertracker.
Straightset is now offering Supertracker laser wheel aligner for mobile wheel alignment. Featuring specialist bracketry, the STR1 green laser wheel aligner can now be secured inside vans.
Supertracker has updated its STR1 laser half cab and trolley to feature green lasers. The use of green lasers said to improve the visibility, precision and clarity of the laser line. Green lasers also work in both normal workshop lighting conditions as well as outdoors and over a longer distances, in comparison to the traditional red lasers.
October is Tyre Safety Month and this year TyreSafe has launched the ‘Safe and Save’ campaign, encouraging motorists to stay safe and save money by learning basic tyre care. Southampton based Supertracker, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of wheel alignment equipment, has launched Shoot & Go, an automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system designed to obtain technical Wheel Alignment data. Now available to order on the STR600 and STR120B aligners, Shoot & Go uses a digital camera installed in front of the lift, ramp or pit, to detect the number plate of the vehicle in service.
Southampton wheel alignment equipment supplier Supertracker will expand its product range in the early part of 2017 to include a new model for the agricultural market. Final tests have recently been completed on the laser-based four-wheel aligner, which Supertracker says will guarantee accurate results alongside ease of use. Modern tractors’ ability to travel at speeds of up to forty miles an hour have led some established and potential Supertracker customers to enquire about wheel aligners for agricultural vehicles, which the company states will open up a new avenue of sales opportunity.
Supertracker will introduce its first 3D wheel aligner in October. The company is marking its 30th year of successful trading with this new landmark. Managing director Trevor Lovesy says: “Over the past couple of years we have experimented with the new concept of 3D alignment and concluded that the crucifix style systems have a definite limitation in terms of space, flexibility and accuracy. However we have now introduced the STR600 3D wheel aligner that completely eliminates these problems as we have moved the camera location to the lift which eliminates the need to move a vehicle backward and forward to obtain readings.”
Hoole Racing and Restoration has taken delivery of one of Supertracker’s popular laser wheel aligners, becoming the first motor racing company to use Supertracker equipment at their busy workshop.
