Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd. has begun supplying Falken Ziex ZE001 A/S all-season tyres to Subaru as factory standard tyres on the Levorg Layback, which was unveiled in September 2023. The latest Levorg Layback has been developed for the Japanese market by Subaru to stand out within the brands’ SUV lineup.
The third-generation Subaru Crosstrek went on sale in Japan in December 2022, and Sumitomo Rubber Industries shares that it is supplying its Falken Ziex ZE001 A/S as an original equipment tyre. The Crosstrek will wear the all-season Falken tyre in size 225/55R18 98V.

In the US, for the third year-in-a-row, Yokohama Tire Corporation has been recognized by Subaru of Indiana Automotive (SIA) with a supplier’s award. The third consecutive award earned the tyremaker a spot in in the prestigious Superior Excellent Performance category. Yokohama earned the award for its supply of the Avid S34P (P225/40R18 88V) tyres on the Impreza and Avid GT S35 on the Legacy (P225/55R17 97V and 225/50R18 95V), and on the Outback (225/65R17 102H and 225/60R18 100H).
In the USA, Yokohama Tire Corporation has been recognized by Subaru of Indiana Automotive (SIA) with a supplier’s award in the Excellent Performance category. Yokohama earned the award for its supply of the AVID S34P (225/40R18 88V) tyres on the Impreza.

Bridgestone Americas has announced that its Firestone FT140 tyre has been selected as original equipment on the all-new 2017 Subaru Impreza.
The fifth-generation Subaru Impreza, which launched in Japan on 25 October, will be fitted with Yokohama tyres as original equipment in a number of markets. Yokohama Rubber shares that it is supplying Fuji Heavy Industries two different tyre lines for fitment on cars sold in Japan, North America and Australia.
Double British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) champion, Colin Turkington, sponsored by TerraClean, scored Subaru’s first ever Dunlop MSA BTCC victory on 5 June at Oulton Park as well as winning the opener at Croft Circuit 18 – 19 June.
