CAM’s digital tablet-based work exchange for truck, bus and van, e-jobsheet is to be implemented by key dealers outside the UK following the success of a three-month European tour visiting Sweden, Denmark, Norway, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and the Republic of Ireland.
Fleet maintenance and breakdown specialist Tyrenet is the first dealer network to implement CAM’s UniSerV V7.2 platform. The platform will connect Tyrenet to other UniSerV users that are fully integrated with e-jobsheet as well as standalone e-jobsheet subscribers via the TiDaeX online hub.
CAM has announced it will sever its ties with the market research company GfK, coinciding with the emergence of the Tyre Intelligence Europe data platform. CAM will relinquish its role in extracting data provided by regional and independent dealers through the agency of its software systems on GfK’s behalf. The service to extract data from customer systems will cease at midnight on 31 March 2017.
The new Tyre Intelligence Europe data platform is developing quickly, with 132 UK tyre sales locations incorporated by mid-February. Data is structured to distinguish clearly between consumer, van and 4×4 – delineating between retail and wholesale sources – an approach that also applies to truck and bus tyre sales.
Independent tyre industry specialist Kevin Glynn has been appointed consultant to the new Tyre Intelligence Europe data service. The platform is designed to deliver robust, speedy and insightful tyre sales data and reports for mainland UK and Northern Ireland “sharer” dealers and subscribers.
Tyre fleet management specialist, Tyre Business Solutions (TBS) has signed up to e-jobsheet, the open-access, digital tablet-based service work platform for truck, bus and van. The agreement means that TBS’ 900 plus dealer network should benefit from the integration of TBS’ management systems and its constituent dealers utilising the e-jobsheet app technology. TBS said it would also consider facilitating its car fleet operations through the platform.
TyreWORK has become the first commercial vehicle and tyre management service provider to go live with the new UniSerV platform from CAM. Extended with e-jobsheet, CAM says the platform features improved “operational agility”, and increased “administrative efficiency in data processing from the field.”
CAM International is making e-jobsheet.com available in three major European languages, as the company seeks greater penetration on the continent. The digital tablet-based work exchange for truck, bus, and van tyres is going live in French, German and Spanish.
Fleet maintenance and breakdown specialist Tyrenet will provide its services to Airdrie-based TOM Vehicle Rental’s 11,000-plus fleet. Using CAM’s digital tablet-based solution e-jobsheet as part of its bespoke solution, Tyrenet will improve efficiency and control over TOM’s entire tyre function, helping to deliver cost-saving benefits.
Kingsway Tyres has become the first tyre dealer to register with e-jobsheet.com, CAM’s open-access mobile data platform for digital tablet technology in the truck, bus and van service arena. Signing up at the CV Show in April, director and general manager of Kingsway Tyres, Martin O’Brien, says, “We were persuaded to register by the many benefits associated by taking greater control of our truck tyre service work which will continue to improve our processes, drive efficiencies and reduce costs.”
Tyrenet has become the first truck tyre dealer network to sign on with CAM International’s e-jobsheet. Tyrenet will utilise the open-access, digital tablet-based service work platform for truck, bus and van to improve the efficiency of its operations, which include exclusive service work for Hankook in the UK via the independent dealer network, Hankook Truck Masters.
CAM and CAM International have signed a technical cooperation agreement with Pineapple Creative Ltd. The agreement will help the tyre industry software supplier to provide customers in the UK and Republic of Ireland with the opportunity to access cost effective web-oriented design and development for e-commerce related projects in conjunction with its own services.
At the end of April Cam International previewed its new e-jobsheet.com product at the CV Show. In May the product got its official launch at the Reifen show in Essen. In the month between the two events, the company finished the prototype system that it developed in partnership with Bridgestone and secured the interest of two further partners.
