The Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership (LowCVP) has announced the shortlist of nominees for the 2016 edition of the prestigious Low Carbon Champions Awards. The Champions Awards celebrate innovation and best practice in the UK’s accelerating drive to cut carbon emissions from the road transport sector.

The site is built around four main themes: discovering, inspiring, planning and sharing, allowing users to find the most beautiful riding spots with high quality images and videos, plan their routes and share them with the Motorcycle Diaries community.
Hankook has signed a global partnership contract with Real Madrid CF. The contract starts from July 2016 and is set to last three seasons. By virtue of the deal, Hankook aims to add some 450 million Real Madrid fans from different global markets such as the Asian Pacific region including China, Latin America, and of course Europe. As well as perimeter advertising during all home games at the football club’s Santiago Bernabéu stadium, Hankook will have access to a range of further global marketing rights.
Football fan Nathan Whitfield has had his dream of converting his Robin Reliant into a giant football boot turned into a reality, thanks to a three-figure sponsorship deal from Ladbrokes. Whitfield, 26, self-styled ‘Bootman’ unveiled his ‘Bootmobile’ in central London with a message to the England squad that he thinks they’re a shoo-in for success in France.

Autoparts UK has announced its sponsorship of the 2016 Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation’s (IAAF) conference, held on 15 December at ICC Birmingham, and the IAAF Team Golf Challenge.
With the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL) 2015/16 season drawing to a close, Autoparts UK was invited to celebrate a successful season sponsoring Braehead Clan, who finished third in the table. Davanti has signed a title sponsorship deal with one of the UK’s largest regional cricket leagues. The company said the arrangement forms part of its overall marketing strategy to increase consumer awareness of the brand and its benefits. It has already ventured into football sponsorship with high profile FA Cup matches in February and March. Davanti’s new sponsorship of the North Staffs and South Cheshire Premier Cricket League (NSSCPCL) will see all 55 grounds adorned with Davanti banners as part of the package. Its imagery is also prominently featured on the NSSCPCL website.

ZC Rubber’s Westlake Tyres brand has seen its sponsorship of WBC flyweight world champion Roman ‘Chocolatito’ Gonzalez (44-0, 38 KOs) start successfully, as the boxer defended his title on HBO Boxing. The 28-year old completed a near-perfect victory against challenger McWilliams Arroyo, the IBF super flyweight champion, on 24 April, sporting the tyre brand’s logo on his shorts.
Omni United has signed LPGA golfer Jodi Ewart Shadoff as brand ambassador for Radar Tires, Omni’s flagship brand. Shadoff is described as an “up and coming” player in the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) ranking of women golfers worldwide. A professional golf player since 2010, she qualified for the LPGA Tour in 2011. Shadoff tied for 4th in the 2013 US Women’s Open and for 7th in the prestigious 2013 Kraft Nabisco Championship.
