Network Q has renewed its association with British rallying after becoming the Official Event Preparations Partner of the 2016 Dayinsure Wales Rally GB which takes place from 27-30 October. The partnership will see the used Vauxhall brand supply over 50 vehicles to help with the set-up and preparation of this year’s British round of the FIA World Rally Championship. A variety of vehicles will be used to set up the rally, from laying out the special stages, to signposting visitors to car parks and viewing areas.
Westlake supported boxer Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez has won a championship in his fourth weight class, defeating Carlos Cuadras from Mexico in the World Boxing Council (WBC) super-flyweight title fight. It is the second cooperation between the largest tyre manufacturer in mainland China and Roman ‘Chocolatito’ Gonzalez.

The new sponsorship agreement covers the 2016/2017 and 2017/2018 seasons and is designed to further enhance global recognition of the Apollo tyre brand. As one of the most popular and successful clubs in German football, Borussia Monchengladbach is very well-known internationally too and its matches are often broadcast live on television around the world.
The Nokian Tyres World Orienteering Championships, WOC, will begin on Saturday 20 August in Strömstad, Sweden and last until 27 August. There are over 400 participants from 46 countries. Nokian Tyres, the world’s northernmost tyre manufacturer, is the title sponsor for the championships.

Europe’s premier rally car show is an annual event held at Castle Combe Circuit in Wiltshire, taking place this year on Saturday 24 September. Falken Tyre’s Team Falken air race team will seek further success in the Red Bull Air Race World Championship when it heads to Ascot, Berkshire on 13-14 August 2016. The 43-year-old Team Falken pilot claimed his maiden victory last month at the Chiba event in the second year of Falken’s successful partnership.

A tyre manufacturer has announced a sponsorship agreement and – you’d better read this sitting down – it doesn’t involve football. Nexen Tire has signed up as an official sponsor of The 7th International Antonín Dvořák Composition Competition that will be held from 24 July to 1 August at the Prague Conservatoire in the Czech Republic. Nexen comments that this sponsorship forms part of its “cultural marketing strategy.”
Kumho Tyre has become Tottenham Hotspur’s “Official Tyre Partner” for an initial two years from the start of the 2016-17 season.
The partnership, which was announced on 19 July, was launched at the football club’s Hotspur Way Training Centre, with four Spurs players and senior representatives from Kumho present. Kumho were joined by club manager Mauricio Pochettino and players Heung-Min Son, Christian Eriksen, Ryan Mason and Cameron Carter-Vickers.
