For the sixth consecutive year, Cooper Tire & Rubber Company will sponsor professional baseball teams across the USA. The 2017 season will include sponsorship of ten teams – the Atlanta Braves, Cincinnati Reds, Houston Astros, Kansas City Royals, Los Angeles Dodgers, Minnesota Twins, New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies, San Diego Padres and St. Louis Cardinals.
Westlake tyres has partnered with The Irish Drift Championship (IDC) 2017 and says it will “cooperate with drifters to bring amazing shows for all the visitors”.

Westlake Europe plays a big role in marketing the brand for all our tyre products and aligning Westlake tyre with top championships gives us the perfect opportunity to show-case our motorsport range,” said Chris Carpenter, a partner of Westlake Tyres in Europe.
Nexen Tire has become Manchester City and the English Premier League’s first ever sleeve sponsor. The move announced today (17 March 2017) at Manchester City Football Academy, came as Nexen renewed its partnership with the top-flight football club for three more years following the initial contract signed between Nexen and Manchester City (Man City) in August 2015. This takes the sponsorship right up to the 2019/2020 season. No specific financial details were revealed, but Tyres & Accessories understands that the new contract represents “increased investment on the previous deal”, according to Man City chief commercial officer, Tom Glick.

Bridgestone has extended its support of golf with its new Bridgestone Chase your Dream Trophy. Played for the first time in 2017 and open to members of England Golf’s 1,900 affiliated clubs, the new event will run annually with separate men’s and women’s competitions to discover the country’s top handicap golfers of the year. Club golfers will get the chance to win a place in a European Tour Pro-Am. The trophy is presented by the tyre manufacturer in partnership with England Golf.

Nine talented young motocross riders have been praised for their natural biking ability by Bridgestone, which is backing their quests for silverware with a season’s supply of tyres. This year the tyre maker is expanding its portfolio of sponsored stars with three further riders: Nadiya Jones, Ray Rowson and, making a return, Jack Timms join Morgan Evans, Rob Yates, James Hanscomb, Harry Linton, Josh Waterman and Charlie Chater. The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company has announced its sponsorship of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The company has a long association with American Football, including the Goodyear Blimp’s aerial television coverage, which has run for more than 60 years. The Hall of Fame is located, like Goodyear’s headquarters, in Ohio, where the National Football League was founded. Hundreds of thousands of fans around the world visit the campus in Canton, where a $500 million Hall of Fame village is currently under development.
