Trelleborg has launched its European Road Show 2015 at SIMA 2015, with one-day events planned in Italy, Sweden, Germany, Poland, France, Spain and the UK. The manufacturer says the roadshow will provide multiple field demonstrations of how farming professionals can enhance their operations and protect the future of their businesses. Trelleborg’s ‘Blue Box’ interactive mobile stand will also provide visitors with information about its range of digital tools.
Trelleborg Wheel Systems is to implement a price increase for its industrial tyres division. Effective from April 2015, prices will increase by 7-10 per cent depending on the specific country. The price increase will apply to the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East & Africa) and all other markets outside of US dollar denominated markets.
Sentury Tire has produced the first Landsail-branded aircraft tyres. The new tyre can be fitted on Boeing 737-600, 737-700, 737-800 and 737-900 models that have a maximum take-off speed of 362km/h. The agricultural tyre market appears particularly well suited towards specialised manufacturers; Trelleborg Wheel Systems acquired Pirelli’s agricultural business in 1999, with the branding switched between 2006 and 2010. Since acquiring various technologies from Pirelli, the Trelleborg Group has invested heavily in order to make its tyre and wheel operation a premium brand player in the agricultural and forestry tyre market. The Tivoli facility, with its buildings showing a manufacturing history dating back to the 1940s, but also incorporating the latest agricultural tyre building machinery, represents “a history full of innovation for farming professionals,” in president of the Agricultural and Forestry Tyres business unit, Paolo Pompei’s words.
ATS Euromaster has entered into a strategic partnership with earthmover tyre specialist Kal Tire Mining Tire Group. The agreement will see ATS Euromaster working with Kal Tire to provide services to customers in the ports, mining and industrial sectors, with a heavy-duty tyre requirement, whilst Kal Tire will direct all car and van tyre enquiries to ATS Euromaster.
