LKQ UK & Ireland cuts carbon emissions with solar panels
LKQ UK & Ireland has installed nearly 6,500 solar panels on the roof of its central logistics hub in order to reach LKQ Corporation’s global goal of achieving net zero emissions by 2050.

Micheldever invests in solar panel installation
Micheldever Tyre Services (MTS) reports that it is making “significant strides towards its sustainability goals” with the installation of cutting-edge solar panels at its Halifax (Elland) depot. This initiative is expected to save the company up to £7.5 million over the next 25 years while also substantially reducing its carbon footprint.
Goodyear, Enovos inaugurate 4.4 MWp solar panel installation in Colmar-Berg
GoodyearGoodyear has inaugurated a new large-scale solar panel installation at its Colmar-Berg proving ground. Completed in December 2023, the installation was inaugurated on 28 May in the presence of Lex Delles, Luxembourg Minister of the Economy, SME, Energy and Tourism. The solar project has a total surface area of 37,700sqm, with a capacity of 4.4 MWp. It is made up of 8,148 bifacial panels, capturing light both on the illuminated surface of the panel and on the lower surface thanks to diffuse light. It continues Goodyear’s collaboration with energy supplier Enovos.
