Colin McCourt has recently joined Ring Automotive and will be primarily managing accounts on the island of Ireland, looking after both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, seeking out new opportunities for business development and growth and arranging workouts with customers.
Aude Moraux has been appointed European regional sales manager for France, Benelux, and the Nordic Region. The emissions product specialist said the appointment bolsters support for European customers after a period of continued growth. Moraux will manage and develop business in the region through strong partnerships, the company added.
Martin Barron has joined Ring Automotive as its new automotive area sales manager Scotland & Northern Ireland. Barron will be travelling throughout Scotland and Northern Ireland visiting motor factors to developing relationships with them and discuss the needs they have for their businesses.
Michelin has appointed Dan Lamb passenger transport sales manager for Services & Solutions. Lamb’s promotion to the role comes after 27 years with the company. He reports directly to Andrew French, director of Services & Solutions and will be responsible for the commercial aspects of Michelin’s relationship with key fleets in the public transport sector.
Hankook Tyre UK has appointed Jon Cottrell as UK commercial sales manager. He follows on from Paul Emery who was promoted to UK sales director earlier in 2020. Cottrell has a career spanning more than twenty years in the tyre industry, including spells with Bridgestone, Goodyear Dunlop, Mitas, and most recently Apollo Vredestein. Hankook says he will be responsible for the strategic leadership of the commercial sales department within Hankook Tyre UK. This includes the expansion of both the Laufenn and Alphatread ranges, contributing to the overall growth strategy.
Hankook Tyre UK has appointed Shane Kallaway as truck and bus tyre regional sales manager for the South West. Kallaway succeeds Richard Ettey who has retired. Ettey leaves a long career in the tyre industry, with more than twelve years’ service at Hankook, and 40 years with Goodyear Dunlop in various roles.
Wheely-Safe has appointed Peter Hatton as its new sales manager. The new role has been created as the technology business prepares to expand its range of intelligent TPMS, wheel loss and brake temperature sensing systems with a new generation of products. Hatton, 48, joins the company from Continental Tyres where he was most recently truck retread and casing manager. He brings a wealth of experience to the role, having worked in the automotive sector for nearly 30 years.
Michelin has appointed Andrew Evans and Andy Aylward to two new national sales manager roles. The pair will oversee the company’s car tyre business in the retail, wholesale and fleet markets across the UK and Ireland. Evans is national sales manager B2C – key accounts, while Aylward take on the new role of national sales manager B2C – territories.
Excel Automotive Group (EAG) has bolstered its sales team with the appointment of Chris Haw, who has assumed the role of UK sales manager.
Standard Motor Products Europe (SMPE) has announced that Martin Butterworth has been appointed as its new export sales manager.
MWheels has appointed Steve Savage as UK sales manager – fleet and aftermarket. He will be responsible for increased market penetration of steel, Xlite and Xbrite forged aluminium commercial vehicle wheels with both new and existing customers. Savage previously held the roles of fleet sales manager for Pirelli and national accounts truck for Bridgestone.
Marcus White has joined the Philip White Tyres Group (PWT) in the role of UK & EU sales manager. White is tasked with developing awareness and interest in Sunwide, a PWT-exclusive “value” brand of car, van, and SUV tyres, as well as a network of significant tyre dealers and regional wholesalers who can take Sunwide tyres direct by the container, the company states.
