A year has passed since Dunlop brought the RoadSmart III to market, and the initial 18 specification range is now being extended with a new variant designed for the growing premium touring and sport scooter market. The RoadSmart III SC is positioned above the ScootSmart in Dunlop’s portfolio and has been designed to provide a high level of all-season performance and durability.
Dunlop is supporting the launch of its new RoadSmart III tyre with a new social media campaign, #DunlopRoadtrip. The campaign gives riders the opportunity to share videos and images of their ‘Ultimate Road Trip’ across the summer, with each month’s top three winning a set of RoadSmart III tyres. The pan-European competition will be fronted by 23-time TT winner John McGuinness – see below for his roadtrip video – and will take place on the official Dunlop Moto Facebook and Twitter pages.
Dunlop’s RoadSmart III has been homologated for the new KTM 1290 Super Adventure and the 1190 Adventure, reports Goodyear Dunlop. The Austrian manufacturer will fit the two bikes with size 120/70 ZR19 and 170/60 ZR17 tyres. According to the tyre maker, the previous-generation RoadSmart II was also used on the KTM adventure bikes and “worked flawlessly” with them.
