Marangoni Tread North America is adding capacity to manufacture its XP Extreme Performance wide base Ringtread in the US – specifically at its tread manufacturing plant in Tennessee. According to the company, the move is being made to meet business demand from independent retreaders, Marangoni is expanding.
Marangoni Tread Latino America has been accredited with INMETRO certification for its RingTread and Unitread pre-cure retreading materials production. Certification came after an independent assessment of Marangoni’s production plant in Brazil by Instituto Falcão Bauer, an accredited certification body in Brazil.
Since late 2015, the Marangoni Ringtread process has been represented in India by Marangoni GRP, a joint venture between the Marangoni Group and India rubber recycler GRP. The joint venture operation has now begun the rollout of a network of franchised retreaders within the country – the first, Autobahn Retreading, has opened its doors in the city of Kochi (Cochin). The Autobahn Retreading plant was officially inaugurated by Giuseppe Marangoni, vice-president of the Marangoni Group, together with GRP’s chief executive officer, Harsh Gandhi.
The Marangoni Ringtread system is entering “new territory” with the signing of Finnish retreader and Point S member Lujakumi Oy has signed up as a Marangoni partner. Based in Pori on the country’s west coast, Lujakumi Oy has been in the retreading business for more than 60 years, and look forward to the new partnership agreement.
Marangoni Retreading Systems has enlarged its Ringtread Blackline range with two new additions, the RTL FE and RDL FE. The manufacturer describes both as “ground-breaking products” and “fuel efficient designs that deliver the all-around best compromise to over the road fleets in traction, fuel saving and mileage, in long haul applications.”
Several new products have joined the Marangoni winter portfolio. The Italian retreading supplier states that these treads “offer similar performance” to high quality brand new tyres, and thus represent “the best alternative by far” for those seeking a combination of reliability, high mileage and lower cost.
At this year’s Essen show, the Marangoni Group will focus on its primary core business, Retreading Systems, and also highlight its Ringtread system. The company says it will use its exhibition space (Hall 3, Stand 3C42) to “confirm the important role of high-quality retreaded truck tyres along the value chain of the transportation industry” and these products’ “environmental value.”
Marangoni Retreading Systems has announced a new partnership with Spanish retreading partner, Louzán SL. The Galicia-based company, which was formed in the 1940s, offers a range of services for fleets, including retreading, with ten sales outlets for extensive territorial coverage. Marangoni said the partnership reflects the “major changes” taking place in the retreading industry. While the future of the retread manufacturer’s Rovereto remains uncertain, Marangoni has moved to increase its global partnerships in various markets around the world. The company characterises its latest Spanish partnership as an “expansion” of its activities in the country.
Marangoni Group has previewed its plans for this year’s Autopromotec. In its exhibition area – hall 22, stand A46 – the group will be presenting both its Ringtread system of retreading and its Marix direct retreads of truck and earthmover tyres. In addition, the Marangoni group’s fleet advantage division will also be exhibiting for the first time, presenting a series of fleet tyre management solutions.
