Schaeffler’s Repxpert technical training team has announced more details about its new programme of ‘Tea-Break Training’, designed to appeal to as many people as possible by offering informative and invaluable information in bite-size chunks at three different starting times.
Schaeffler’s technical manager Alistair Mason has addressed the practical health & safety issues of getting back to work, as well as several technical matters that are becoming increasingly relevant to workshops, and how the company’s Repxperts are helping technicians deal with these challenges.

Following the successful launch of its LuK clutch step-by-step replacement guides on the Repxpert online technical portal in March, Schaeffler UK is now adding more detailed installation guides – this time covering INA belt systems.
Schaeffler is promoting its Repxpert online technical platform for professional vehicle technicians with a new promotion. New and existing users of the Repxpert app have the exclusive opportunity to win a Ring RBS50 borescope inspection video camera. Connected to and powered by a laptop computer to show a direct feed, the RBS50 is waterproof and features two LED lights to illuminate the area around the probe. It looks like a light has appeared at the end of the tunnel, as some of the lockdown restrictions begin to be eased. The latest government advice is that those who are able to work, but not from home, should now return to work. They are also advising commuters that it is their civic duty NOT to use public transport, and cycle, walk or use the car instead. As the average UK commute is almost an hour, lots of people will start to use their cars again.

Schaeffler states that there has been a surge in sign-ups for the inaugural Repxpert Academy LIVE training day. The new ‘roadshow’ training concept, which is a joint venture with the IMI, will be held at approved college venues across the UK, with the first event taking place at Lincoln College on Saturday 16 November.
Winner of the INA Torque Challenge at Automechanika in June, Eddie Nazarov, enjoyed a fantastic weekend at Brands Hatch, where he and his wife, Innes, witnessed a Schaeffler victory during round-six of the DTM Championship.
