Rema Tip Top Automotive UK has secured a new distribution agreement with Corghi SpA covering England, Wales and Scotland. According to the company, the deal pairs the international Corghi range of workshop equipment with Rema Tip Top’s portfolio of consumables and workshop tools for the first time.
At this week’s Bauma 2013 show, Rema Tip Top is showcasing UK-based engineering firm AM Bromley’s OTR Tire Monitor System and telematics service provider Enaikoon’s tracking system. Furthermore, during the show the two Rema Tip Top show guests announced the formal launch of a new partnership.
Rema Tip Top GmbH has announced the departure of Michael Schwämmlein, global director of the Automotive business unit, from the company. Details of Schwämmlein’s and Rema Tip Top’s parting of ways have not been given and Rema Tip Top has yet to announce a successor.

Point-S has selected Autogem Motor Concepts as a supply partner to its UK network. Writing in a letter to members, company representatives explained that Autogem offers “a number of solutions to the Point-S network through [its] well established and competitive consumables programme”. In short this means, but is by no means limited to, the delivery of TPMS repair and service equipment and products.
A fully automatic version of Rema Tip Top’s Aikido tyre mounting machine has been released. Called the Concert, this new unit is said to enormously simplify everyday work compared to previous models. Rema Tip Top states the Concert’s advantages include a speeding-up of the fitting process and a reduction in the physical effort required from the operator.

For almost 20 years, Rema Tip Top International has been the distributor of Equal Tire Performance; the revolutionary method of balancing wheels and tyres for trucks, light trucks and motorcycles. Equal is a plastic polymer granule which provides a continuous, maintenance-free solution to tyre force variation and imbalance for the life of the tyres. Rema Tip Top radial patches are made of high-strength rayon cord whilst the company’s cross ply patches are pre-cured patches with thermoset nylon cord – both types are designed to promote strength and flexibility for current and new-generation EM and OTR tyres. Radial and cross ply patches are suitable for hot or self-vulcanisation due to an integrated bonding layer optimised for use with Rema Tip Top accelerator cements or solutions.
