Cam Systems, who specialises in providing software solutions to the independent tyre industry, is joining forces with EDP at Reifen Essen this June to highlight its Fleet Inspection and Fleet Management link into the Call Logging and Document Manager modules on Cam’s UniSerV platform. The integration of EDP’s fleet systems into the UniSerV commercial platform will provide tyre operators with greater visibility of fleet operations.
Netherlands-based Gaither Europe B.V. returns to the Reifen show this year, and in addition to displaying its established range of truck tyre changing and bead breaking equipment the company will use the exhibition as a platform for launching three new products.
As well as being represented by Kings Road Tyres in the UK, the Aeolus brand is distributed by Heuver Tyrewholesale in a number of markets on the continent. This year the brand will be present at the Dutch wholesaler’s stand and also have its own show presence, and during Reifen the Chinese manufacturer will not only show its latest products from its established truck and OTR tyre lines – the company’s new range of passenger car tyres will also be on display.
According to Ulrika Persson, global marketing coordinator at Eldan Recycling A/S, at Reifen 2012 the Danish company intends to focus on its new system for recycling mining tyres and further improved systems for steel cleaning. “Last year we also introduced a combi-system for recycling of tyre, cable and electronic waste, which we also plan to focus on,” shared Persson. “As always we will also present our standard equipment, which is always popular to discuss.”
Leading UK tyre wholesaler Kings Road Tyres, also known as KRT, is a long-term supporter of the Reifen exhibition and returns to Essen this year to exhibit the latest products in its Aeolus, Antyre and Kingstone ranges.
The organiser of the Reifen 2012 show reports that this year’s show is on course to break records. The tyre industry and trade exhibition, which is held every two years in Essen, Germany and this year takes place between 5 and 8 June, has already exceeded the 2010 event’s total area as far as rented-out floorspace is concerned: Exhibition floorspace booked by the start of March 2012 was already 15 per cent above that at the final closing date for bookings in 2010.
Vipal – the leading Brazilian company in South America and one of the largest retreading and repair material manufacturers in the world – has shared details of its exhibit at this year’s Reifen 2012 show which will be held in Essen, Germany, from 4 – 8 June. In short Vipal will present three new designs of pre-cured treads.
Czech company Avex Trade has announced that it will exhibit its products for the tyre industry at two major German shows this year: Reifen 2012 in Essen and LogiMAT 2012 in Stuttgart. It will be the fifth time that Avex will show its products at Reifen. The company is one of the largest manufacturers of tyre stillages and pallets in the world, with several international certificates and licenses.
Netherlands based Gaither Europe BV made its debut at Agritechnica 2011 to introduce three new products to the market. Ralph Dubbeldam of Gaither Europe explained: “Gaither has a long standing and successful business association with Trost, one of Europe's leading car parts and equipment suppliers whose clients include a high percentage of agri specialists. We… realised that agriculture could become a new progressive market for us thereby prompting our appearance at the show.”
The number of visitors attending the first day of this year's Reifen China exhibition in Shanghai is said to have set a new record, with around 5 per cent more attending the show than in 2010. According to exhibition organisers Messe Essen, combined initial figures for both Reifen China and RubberTech, which is run in parallel in neighbouring halls, show that 5512 visitors attended the opening day of the show compared with 4300 in 2010. More than a fifth were said to have been “international” visitors.
On October 1, the German sales company operated by Mitas, ‘CGS Reifen Deutschland GmbH’, altered its company name to 'Mitas GmbH'. This renaming took place as part of the Czech Republic-based agricultural tyre manufacturer’s plan, announced in July, to bring the names of all 13 of its sales subsidiaries in line with that of the company’s core tyre brand over a three-month period.
Organiser of the international ‘Reifen’ tyre show, Messe Essen GmbH, reports the area rented out for next year’s show is 20 per cent larger than last time round. Reifen 2012 will be held between June 5 and 8, 2012 (not in July, as reported elsewhere) in Essen, Germany, and the organiser states that next year’s show will place a greater focus upon ecological and tyre disposal issues. The German government will also subsidise the exhibition costs of start-up German firms wishing to present their credentials at the show; Messe Essen states that eligible companies can take advantage of specially designated ‘community booths’ at an up to 80 per cent reduced rate. Companies wishing to exhibit at Reifen 2012 have until October 1, 2011 to register.
Dutch wholesaler Van den Ban moves into its new administrative headquarters on 18 October. Its new address will be: Ravenseweg 13M, 3223 LM Hellevoetsluis. The move comes in the same year that Van den Ban opened the Logistic Tyre Centre on the same site, which Tyres & Accessories reported in detail in its March edition (pp 44-6).
Having taken the opportunity to promote its private Kingstone brand in Europe at Reifen 2010, wholesaler Kings Road Tyres goes into Brityrex looking to build relationships and communicate information effectively in the face-to-face format offered by the exhibition, in addition to continuing the stride made this year with Kingstone.
