Point S has become official sponsor of the 26th International Handball Federation’s Women’s World Championship, which will be held in Denmark, Norway and Sweden. Point S previously sponsored the 25th Women’s World Championship in Japan in 2019 and the 2022 European Women’s Handball Championship.
K&M Tire Inc. has agreed to acquire Point S USA’s Denver warehouse, according to various news sources. Point S USA will reportedly use K&M Tire as its primary source of tyres in Colorado, company representatives said.
Tyrepoint Services, which is a member of Point S, was named the Small Tyre Retailer of the Year in the UK at the National Tyre Distributors Association (NTDA) 2023 Awards. The prestigious award recognises Tyrepoint Services’ professional, trustworthy, and reliable service. According to the retail group, the award highlights the strength of Point S’ network of independent centres, with the chain reflecting on the success.
Maidstone-based independent dealer TyrePoint Services is celebrating after winning Small Tyre Retailer in the UK, after winning the hotly contested title at the National Tyre Distributors Association (NTDA) 2023 Awards. The family-owned business, which is a member of the Michelin Quality Centre network and located on the Parkwood Industrial Estate, beat off competition from other single-site tyre dealerships from across the UK to win the prestigious award.
Point S Tyre & Autocare has unveiled new fleet signage for its UK members that reflects the “significant progress” made by the independent tyre dealer and car maintenance network’s fleet programme over the last 14 months. Truck Tyre Solutions in Oldbury is the first Point S member to implement the signage onto its point of sale, leading a long list of members “showing strong interest in representing the network’s exclusive fleet solution.”
Point S reports “impressive early growth” in its Spanish network. Since launching in this Iberian market in April 2023, nine points of sale in locations such as Barcelona, León, Bilbao, and Navarra have joined the global Point S family.
Independent tyre dealer and car maintenance network Point S Tyre & Autocare has bolstered its UK sales team with the appointment of Todd Sale as Sales Manager for the Northern region. In this role, he will work closely with Point S members in the north of the UK and in Northern Ireland to support the growth of their businesses.
Last Friday we reported on the first Point S outlets in Macau. Closer to home, Point S International shares news of expansion in the Iberian Peninsula. Entry into the Spanish market means Point S now operates in 26 countries across Europe. Globally, Point S is now present in 51 countries.
After arriving in mainland China in mid-2020 and Hong Kong later that year, Point S has now gained a presence in Macau with the establishment of two franchise outlets. The first of these, Point S Kong Nam Tyre and Auto Supplies in Taipa, opened its doors on 27 July.

Deep into its second decade of UK development, the Point S Tyre and Autocare independent tyre dealer ad car maintenance network is establishing its offer to the fleet market, using the 2023 edition of the Commercial Vehicle Show to present and demonstrate its programme for fleets, including a new online management system. Point S was also present at the show in 2022, using its stand at the Birmingham NEC hosted event to introduce the brand to UK fleets at the commercial market’s most prominent national platform. It also demonstrated its improved offer to truck fleets; Point S exhibited alongside truck tyre distribution partner, International Tyres, showcasing the Fortune truck tyre range and Point S’s own brand of van and car fitments, produced by a leading tyre manufacturer from Germany. Fortune is a brand of rapidly developing Asian tyre manufacturer Prinx Chengshan, produced in Thailand and thereby avoiding current tariffs placed on truck tyres produced in China, features a casing warranty designed to extend the useful life of every Fortune tyre. With these foundations laid, Point S’s UK network swelling to more than 300 members and Tony Valentine installed as the company’s UK fleet manager, the company is now poised to offer, in its own words, a “competitive and cost-effective solution.” Tyres & Accessories visited the company’s stand in Birmingham to discuss the move into the fleet market.

Visitors to stand 5F80 will be able to meet members of the Point S team and find out more about the network’s fleet programme, exclusive online fleet management system and gain a first glimpse of the new online system, with demonstrations available on request.
Point S Tyre & Autocare has appointed Ben Herridge as business development manager. Herridge’s new role will see him help drive network growth and member development in the South West/South Wales region.
Point S Tyre & Autocare was recently recognised as an IMI approved centre. According to the independent retail network, the achievement is “a significant step towards Point S’ goal of becoming the largest qualified and certified European network for electric vehicle maintenance by 2026.”
