Shinjiro Tanaka takes over as ETEL CEO

Magna Tyres Group is expanding its network of offices and distribution into the United States and Canada. According to the company, Magna Tyres Group will start its expansion into the North American continent with an office in Canada.

According to the company, Harry Choi is stepping down “to pursue new career opportunities” after six years leading Kumho’s US headquarters. Kumho reports that the transition comes as a part of a global shift in key executive management roles geared to positively reinforce the company for the present and future.
Toyo has made a number of organizational, structural and personnel changes, including an executive reshuffle.
First, the company will change its corporate trade name from Toyo Tire & Rubber Co., Ltd. to Toyo Tire Corporation, effective on 1 January 2019. According to the company, the corporate name change will leverage “getting our business operations rolling with the aim of strengthening governance and achieving further growth, which we will endeavour to implement under a new management structure.”
Michael Andre (60) is retiring at the end of 2018. The news comes after five years with Kenda Rubber Industrial, where he has been marketing and sales manager automotive Europe responsible for the European passenger car tyre business of the Taiwanese tyre manufacturer. In this role Andrew has led the phased introduction of the Kenda brand to the German and other key European markets.

Hankook recently celebrated a long service award for Richard Ettey, regional sales manager, who has been recognised for his 10-year service at Hankook Tyre UK Ltd. Hankook were first introduced to the UK in the early 1980s with just two employees. The company now employ a total of 50 staff in the UK head office; 16 of whom have completed 10 years of service or more.
