TIA board names Jarman as secretary
TIAThe Tire Industry Association (TIA) board elected Keith Jarman, president of AME International in Brooksville, Florida, as secretary on 23 June during its summer board meeting in South Dakota. A TIA Board member for nine of the past 12 years, Jarman’s election places him in line to become the association’s president in 2023-2024. He currently chairs the board’s membership committee. Jarman will begin his year as secretary in November and will move through the various officer positions until he becomes president.
Birla Carbon appoints Chief Digital & Information Officer
Madhavi Kanumoory has been appointed as Chief Digital & Information Officer at Birla Carbon. In this role, she will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s digital and information technology. Kanumoory will report to John Loudermilk, Chief Operating Officer, joining the company’s Senior Management Team and will be based at the Birla Carbon office in Mumbai.

Amit Tolani named Ceat Specialty chief executive
CeatRoughly two years after he was appointed Ceat Ltd VP of marketing, Amit Tolani has been named chief executive of Ceat Specialty, effective 1 June 2021. Ceat Specialty has its EU office in Amsterdam and has been serving European farm and OTR tyre customers since 2017. Tolani joined Ceat in 2004 and has served in various roles across sales, marketing and supply chain functions. Prior to his latest appointment, he was the chief marketing officer of CEAT.
RH Claydon appoints new business development manager
RHCMatthew Warren joined the team at RH Claydon (RHC) on 1 June 2021, taking on the role of business development manager for East Anglia and the South Midlands area. Warren previously worked as a national account manager at Tructyre and has many years of experience in the tyre industry.

PCLPCL has appointed Ben Kershaw as technical sales manager. Kershaw will be responsible for growing sales and providing technical and product support in the petrol, automotive, industrial and fluid markets.
PCL appoints assistant category manager
PCLAs PCL continues to expand despite the pandemic, the company has appointed Jodie Mitchell as assistant category manager. According to the manufacturer and distributor of inflation products, Mitchell brings a wealth of product management knowledge from working at Morphy Richards, where she spent five years as assistant category manager and product manager for various product ranges. Major achievements included growing the Filter Coffee category from 7th to 2nd place in the UK market.
Tomohiko Masuta appointed managing director of Falken, Sumitomo Rubber Europe
FalkenTomohiko Masuta has been named as managing director of both Falken Tyre Europe GmbH and Sumitomo Rubber Europe GmbH. Masuta joined Sumitomo Rubber Industries in 1985, first gaining experience in the Product Development department. In the 1990s, he moved to the Original Equipment (OE) area of the business before being dispatched to support the development of the Dunlop brand in European countries. In 2015, he was appointed general manager of OE Tyre Business for SRI, with his most recent role being general manager of the Automotive System Division. In his new appointment, Masuta will oversee the SRI group companies in the EMEA region and Falken businesses in Europe and will drive the growth of OE customers within the region.
PCL appoints new customer service team leader
PCLSheffield-based tyre inflation and pneumatics firm PCL has appointed a new Customer Service Team Leader. Reporting to sales director Lee Wright, Nicola Slazak will be responsible for providing hands-on support, whilst leading the team as well.
Gavin Marshall joins TyreRunner.com board
Tyre RunnerTyreRunner.com has appointed Gavin Marshall to its board of directors weeks after TyreRunner.com revealed plans to double headcount. Marshall was previously the CEO of Middlesbrough-based North Eastern Tyres & Exhausts (NETE) which he successfully sold to Stapleton’s tyres, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Itochu corporation of Japan, parent company to Kwik-fit.
