Following his departure from Prometeon last month, Peter Fairlie has been named as the new CEO of Yokohama HPT Ltd and will officially join the company on 13 July 2022.

Following his departure from Prometeon last month, Peter Fairlie has been named as the new CEO of Yokohama HPT Ltd and will officially join the company on 13 July 2022.
Prometeon UK managing director Peter Fairlie is set to leave the company on 8 July 2022 to “embrace new professional opportunities”. In a statement announcing the news and organisational changes, Prometeon thanked Fairlie for “services rendered over the past three years and wishe[d] him every success in his future endeavours.”
An ice cream van was parked in front of the door when Tyres & Accessories visited Direct Tyre Management’s (DTM) new Blackpool headquarters in mid-May. Following the publication of Michelin’s first quarter 2022 financial results, group CEO Florent Menegaux commented on the appointment of Pierre Michelin as president of the Michelin family’s Mage-Invest holding company. Mage-Invest holds 4.2 per cent of the shares and 7 per cent of the voting rights of Michelin Group.
CAM has appointed Mark Styles to its board of directors. Styles brings with him 20 years’ experience in a global tyre network and “his ecommerce skills are second to none”, according to CAM. Commenting on the appointment, Mike Allen, managing director of CAM said: “[Mark’s] expertise and innovation will be instrumental in helping us deliver our exciting new portfolio of online sales products.”
Following the news that the Point S Tyre & Autocare Network has appointed Nigel Hampson as business development/project manager, the growing tyre retail group has officially welcome their latest personnel addition and given further details of what he will be doing in his recent appointment.
Goodyear South Africa has appointed Richard Fourie to the position of managing director effective from April 2022. Richard takes over from Piotr Czyzyk who led the company for two years.
Nigel Hampson has been appointed as project manager at Point S UK. Hampson brings with him a wealth of experience from his 25 years in the tyre industry.
Ceat has appointed Phil Bradley as the tyre brand’s UK business development manager. In this new role, Bradley will spearhead the development of the brand in the UK, focusing on passenger car tyre lines along with other segments in due course.
Iain Hayes will report to managing director, Nick Harley, and will be responsible for the company’s mobile operations, warehousing, tyre supplies and distribution.
Simon Foxall has been appointed area sales manager to cover Central England for tyre inflation and compressed air equipment manufacturer PCL. Prior to his appointment at PCL, Foxall most recently managed key accounts for a wholesaler and manufacturer of industrial hardware products.
Hamaton has promoted Enri Osmani, general manager of Hamaton Inc., to vice president of the company’s North American distribution and technical centre. Osmani has worked in the TPMS market for 12 years.
Tech Europe has appointed Olly Shortland as area sales manager covering the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland.
The Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd. has decided to promote one of its senior technical executives, Koji Watanabe, and increase his area of responsibility. According to a statement issued by the company on 29 March, the decision took effect from 30 March 2022.
Tal Dekel has been appointed as chief executive officer of Pelmar Engineering Ltd. Dekel has been with the Pelmar Group for 20 years and is the son of the previous group technical director Dan Dekel, who served the company for over 30 years.
