Simon Foxall has been appointed area sales manager to cover Central England for tyre inflation and compressed air equipment manufacturer PCL. Prior to his appointment at PCL, Foxall most recently managed key accounts for a wholesaler and manufacturer of industrial hardware products.
Andy Traynor has joined PCL as the company’s new key accounts manager. After an initial period familiarising himself with the Sheffield-based company’s systems, processes and products, Traynor is now meeting customers across the UK.
PCL sales director, Simon Shorter is retiring from his role in charge of End User and OEM sales at PCL. Moving forward, Shorter plans to spend more time with his family as he looks forward to celebrating his 60th birthday. He also intends to continue his charity work and lecturing at Sheffield Hallam University.
PCL has appointed Ben Kershaw as technical sales manager. Kershaw will be responsible for growing sales and providing technical and product support in the petrol, automotive, industrial and fluid markets.
As PCL continues to expand despite the pandemic, the company has appointed Jodie Mitchell as assistant category manager. According to the manufacturer and distributor of inflation products, Mitchell brings a wealth of product management knowledge from working at Morphy Richards, where she spent five years as assistant category manager and product manager for various product ranges. Major achievements included growing the Filter Coffee category from 7th to 2nd place in the UK market.
Sheffield-based tyre inflation and pneumatics firm PCL has appointed a new Customer Service Team Leader. Reporting to sales director Lee Wright, Nicola Slazak will be responsible for providing hands-on support, whilst leading the team as well.
PCL has integrated its ecommerce and distributor portal into its pclairtechnology.com website. Distributors and end users will now have a single point of online access to PCL’s products, news, information, account management and order entry services. According to the company, the enhanced website has been updated for convenience and ease of use.
Such is PCL’s confidence in the digital handheld Accura MK4 and linear Airforce MK4 tyre inflation products, the company has doubled its warranty from 12 months to two years.
PCL has launched the CH3A01 Twin Swivel Clip-on Tyre Valve Connector and CH3A02 Single Swivel Clip-on Tyre Valve Connector. The two new models complement the recently launched CH2 air connectors, which have received excellent feedback since their launch last year and run alongside the popular CO3 range.
PCL has welcomed a new Area Sales Manager for the South of England to its team. According to the inflation specialist manufacturer, Steve Nolan brings extensive experience within the motor industry to his new role, having worked on key automotive accounts dealing with distributors and end users, and covering national trade shows and conferences.
PCL has released what the inflation products manufacturer says is its “biggest and best product catalogue yet”. Featuring a breakdown of the Sheffield-based company’s range, the newly designed catalogue includes “How to” sections, providing ends users with guides to finding the right equipment and using it safely and effectively.
PCL’s Partner+ performance programme has reportedly continued to flourish despite COVID-19, with distributors signing up for support.
PCL has appointed Aaron Williams as senior buyer in order to focus on supply chain efficiency. Williams joins PCL following roles at Anixter, the global distributor of network and security, electrical, electronic and utility power solutions, and Victor Marine, specialists in the design and manufacture of tank washing machines, gas freeing fans and oily water separators.
PCL has appointed Dean Battersby as operations director at the company’s UK headquarters in Sheffield. Battersby takes from Mark McCaughey, who has retired after 30 years of service. Having worked for multi-national companies servicing the automotive, aerospace and rail industries, Dean Battersby brings over 22 years of executive experience in manufacturing, operations, procurement, logistics and product management. He holds a BEng (Hons) Degree in Engineering and Business and has an impressive track record in strategy development and implementation, with extensive experience in establishing global supply chains to accommodate increasing levels of customer service.
Led by Senior Electronics Development Engineer, Michael Crookes, the introduction of the new electronic testing facility and role will “enable PCL to test and develop electronic products in-house at its state-of-the-art Sheffield HQ”, according to the company.
