Apollo Tyres has appointed Shobhit Arora as its new Country Sales Manager for the UK. He brings over 14 years of experience at Apollo Tyres to the role, having begun his career as a Graduate Engineer Trainee for the company in India in 2008. Since then, Arora has worked across many areas of the business in India and Europe, most recently as Distribution and Business Development Manager at Apollo Tyres’ European headquarters in the Netherlands.
Swedish tyre wholesaler is now the exclusive distributor of the Vredestein range of car, light commercial and classic tyres in Sweden and Finland. Apollo Tyres will end direct sales to retailers of these Vredestein tyre categories as of 1 March 2022 and instead actively support Amring in further building the brand’s market share in these two markets. Apollo Tyres Nordic AB will continue selling Apollo TBR and OHT products directly in all Nordic markets.
A number of key changes are being made to Apollo Vredestein’s European sales organisation, and the tyre maker has named three new cluster directors who will each take responsibility for a group of countries within the Apollo Vredestein network. The directors will be directly responsible for the implementation and execution of the company’s sales and distribution strategy within each respective ‘cluster’ of national markets.
