Linglong Tire confirms the signing of a US$300 million deal with Paraguay-based tyre distributor Sunset Tires. Wang Feng, chairman of Linglong Tire, put his signature on a strategic cooperation agreement along with Nabil Chamseddine, chief executive officer and president of Sunset, on 12 October.
Shandong Linglong Tire has signed a tyre distribution cooperation agreement with distributor Sunset to expand its market share in Brazil and Paraguay.
Pirelli intends to establish an office in Paraguay, and may use this as a starting point for establishing a greater presence within the country. The official website of the President of Paraguay, Horacio Cartes, reports that the head of state met with Pirelli Latin America executive president Paolo Dal Pino at the Government Palace in Asunción yesterday. Nordisk Dæk Import A/S (NDI) reports that as of August 2012 RDP Industria de Peças Agrícolas Ltda. will serve as exclusive distributor in Brazil for the Danish company’s range of AP+ Dual wheels. RDP has been involved in Brazil’s agricultural sector since 1974 and primarily distributes to tractor and machinery producers in Brazil; the company also supplies the aftermarkets in Paraguay, Argentina, Chile and Bolivia.
