Engine products and drive systems supplier Dayco, has again been independently recognised for the quality and distribution of its original equipment (OE) components, this time by Paccar, with its 2018 Quality Achievement certification.
Every year, US-based truck manufacturer Paccar Inc. recognises suppliers who meet or exceed its ‘10 PPM’ quality standard – the equivalent of ten or fewer defective parts for every million components shipped to PACCAR. This year, PACCAR acknowledged 268 suppliers in 26 countries with a 10 PPM Supplier Quality award for achieving this high level of quality performance, and additionally for meeting meet demanding criteria for delivery performance, customer support, and business impact.
Arconic has announced that its Alcoa forged aluminium wheels have received a quality achievement award from PACCAR for meeting or exceeding stringent 10 parts per million (PPM) quality performance requirements. Arconic achieved 0 PPM in 2016 for deliveries to DAF, a subsidiary of PACCAR, reflecting excellence in every step of the manufacturing process, forging to finishing to packaging.
