VW ID.3 to roll on Continental tyres
VolkswagenContinental tyres have been chosen as original equipment for the new Volkswagen ID.3. The electric hatchback will be fitted with the EcoContact 6 in 18- and 19-inch sizes. Buyers selecting winter tyres will receive the WinterContact TS 850 P. The summer and winter tyres supplied for the ID.3 will feature ContiSeal puncture protection technology.
Bridgestone Battlax OE on new Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX
The 2020 Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX sport tourer motorcycle will come with Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S22 tyres as original equipment. Bridgestone Corporation will supply the S22 in size 120/70ZR17 M/C (58W) for the front wheel and 190/50ZR17 M/C (73W) for the rear.
Tailor-made Pirelli tyres for Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo
Pirelli has presented the tyre that will equip the new Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo from the 2020 season onwards in all four Ferrari Challenge championships. The tyre is the Pirelli P Zero DHA, the product of some seven months of close collaboration between Pirelli and Ferrari engineers. The P Zero DHA is available in size 275/675-19 at the front and 315/705-19 at the rear.
Camso provides Solideal solution for TLD autonomous baggage tractor
Airport ground equipment specialist TLD has selected the Solideal AIR 561 as original equipment tyre for its new driverless baggage tractor TractEasy and its flagship Jet-16 baggage tractor. Both units have been supplied with Solideal AIR 561 full tyre and wheel assemblies since June 2019.
New Holland approves Trelleborg PneuTrac for T4
TrelleborgNew Holland Agriculture has selected the PneuTrac from Trelleborg Wheel Systems as a fitment for its new T4 tractor range. The tyres can be specified for New Holland T4 N/F/LP models in sizes VF480/65R28 and VF280/70R18.
Pirelli P Zero OE on BMW M8
BMW Group has approved the Pirelli P Zero as an original equipment tyre for the BMW M8. The Pirelli tyre has been homologated for the M8 in size 275/35 ZR 20 (102Y) XL (front axle) and 285/35 ZR 20 (104Y) XL (rear axle).
Dunlop OE on Lexus LS in Japan
Sumitomo Rubber Industries is supplying its Dunlop SP Sport Maxx 050 DSST CTT tyre as original equipment for Lexus LS models sold in Japan. The run-flat tyre will be fitted to the Lexus LS in size 245/45RF20 99Y.
Porsche Cayenne factory-fitted with Hankook tyres
Hankook Tire reports that it has been supplying the Porsche Cayenne ex-works with its flagship UHP tyre, the Ventus S1 evo 3 SUV, since June. The mixed fitment sees the Cayenne wear the Ventus S1 evo 3 SUV in size 285/40 ZR 21 (109Y) XL at the front and 315/35 ZR 21 (111Y) XL at the rear.
Swiss ‘eRod’ maker chooses Hankook as tyre partner
Hankook Tire has signed a partnership agreement with the Swiss company Kyburz. The first project under this agreement will be to fit Kyburz’s eRod roadster with ultra-high-performance tyres from the Ventus line. The road-legal electric sports car will be equipped with the Ventus V12 evo 2 in size 195/50R15 V. Hankook also becomes the recommended replacement tyre brand for the eRod.

Falken tyres OE on Audi Q3
The Audi Q3 is the latest vehicle to be factory-fitted with Falken tyres. The compact SUV will be fitted with the Falken Ziex ZE914 A EC AO pattern in size 215/65R17 99V. Commenting on Audi’s selection of the tyre, Christian Stolting, key OE account manager at Falken Tyre Europe GmbH, said: “The Audi engineers’ decision highlights once again the excellent quality and the capability of our tyres.”
Audi Q8 factory-fitted with Hankook tyres in Europe, North America
Three Hankook tyre models have been chosen as original equipment for the new Audi Q8. Customers in Europe can receive their crossover fitted with a size 285/45 R21 113 Y XL Ventus S1 evo 3 SUV or, if selecting a winter tyre, the Winter i*cept evo 2 SUV in 285/45 R21 113 V XL. In North America, the Hankook Dynapro HP 2 Plus will be an original equipment tyre for the Audi Q8 in sizes 275/50 R20 113H X, 285/45 R21 113H XL and 285/40 R22 110H XL. Hankook Tire reports that further dimensions will follow.
Giti extends VW MQB-A0 platform OE supply with T-Cross fitment
Giti Tire will supply the GitiSynergyE1 in size 205/60R16 92H to the VW T-Cross. The T-Cross is built for the European market on the MQB-A0 small car platform in Pamplona, Spain alongside the Seat Arona Compact Crossover and VW Polo, for which the tyre manufacturer already supplies OE tyres in the same pattern.
Michelin tyres OE on Harley-Davidson’s electric LiveWire
Harley-Davidson has gone and made itself an electric motorcycle – and Michelin has developed tyres to fit the ‘e-hog’. Michelin Scorcher Sport tyres have been selected as original equipment for the new Harley-Davidson LiveWire.
