Omsk Carbon, the Russian carbon black manufacturer, has announced that its new carbon black site will begin production in the second quarter of 2018 – a roughly 18-month delay compared to the original plan.
Omsk Carbon USA LLC has appointed Piotr Pawlicki as its new manager. According to the company, Pawlicki’s main responsibility will be increasing sales in conjunction and improving customer service for Omsk Carbon Group customers in the North America. The office functions also include overseeing logistics, accounting and HR management.

Tomasz Celka is the new managing director of Omsk Carbon Europe GmbH (OCE) effective immediately.
Celka has more than 15 years of chemical industry experience. He was previously responsible for the development of Omsk Carbon Group in Eastern Europe. His new priorities include: implementing the OCE development strategy and coordinating sales and distribution in the European market.

In 2012 Russia’s largest carbon black manufacturer, Omsk Carbon Group, established its first fully-owned subsidiary outside its home market by setting up Omsk Carbon Germany in Waltrop, North Rhine Westphalia. The German office has doubled its sales every year under the leadership of Rainer Jung and is now expanding its operations in Italy, France and the UK. To reflect this, Omsk Carbon Germany has been renamed Omsk Carbon Europe GmbH.
