Exol has launched a new oil recommended for a number of models fitted with JCB’s Ecomax T4i engine or its Dieselmax T3 engine. The fully-synthetic oil’s main specifications are API CH-4, CF, ACEA E2, as well as other OEM specifications. Exol has developed the oil to emphasise low temperature performance, while improving wear protection in cold start-up conditions.
Replacing the oil in an automatic transmission is more difficult and has greater potential for errors than changing the motor oil. Both vehicles were put through lengthy and varied driving cycles designed to mimic urban and rural environments with both stop-start and constant speed conditions.
Specialist oil developer and producer Millers Oils is launching its Flowcontrol bottle to worldwide markets at Automechanika Frankfurt this week. The company says the container features an easy-pour mechanism that enables users to control oil flow without the use of a funnel, thus preventing contamination and, of course, spills. In June 2014, the month that the new bottle design was introduced into the UK market, Millers Oils says its two local distributors experienced a 95 per cent year-on-year sales increase – a phenomenon it says was driven by the Flowcontrol bottle.
Styron has added two new Sprintan-branded rubber grades for use in tyre manufacturing. According to the company, Styron’s Sprintanrubber portfolio offers “high performance solutions” to answer specific tyre industry needs. The range includes rubber grades with enhanced wet grip and wear performance, as well as grades that provide a good balance between traction and rolling resistance.
