The readers of German trade journal Profi Werkstatt have chosen Liqui Moly as their favourite commercial vehicle oil for the third time. The company was awarded “Best Profi Werkstatt brand” in the oil and lubricant category at Automechanika Frankfurt. In so doing, the automotive chemical specialist defended its leading position by gaining its third readers’ choice award from a Huss publication.
German oil and additive specialist Liqui Moly has partnered up with the Chicago Bulls. Advertising in the stadium and on social media seeks to tap into the broad appeal of the American basketball team. Liqui Moly is paying a seven-digit figure in return for the two-year deal. “This is our largest-scale sponsorship program ever in North America,” says Peter Baumann, marketing manager at Liqui Moly.

Exol Lubricants has successfully facilitated an exercise simulating the response to a hydrocarbon spill incident at its bulk blending site in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. Held on 21 September, the Oil Spill Incident Management Exercise was set in real time at Stevenson Wharf, Rotherham, and was designed to exercise the emergency response procedures and contingency plans in place for Canal and River Trust (CRT) North East.
The motor oil and additive specialist Liqui Moly is expanding its distribution in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Beginning immediately its products will also be marketed by the Rapid Group. “With the Rapid Group we have found a strong partner,” said Ibrahim Memis, who is responsible for the Liqui Moly business in both countries. “This will make it even easier to find our oils and additives.”

Exol has launched a new oil recommended for a number of models fitted with JCB’s Ecomax T4i engine or its Dieselmax T3 engine. The fully-synthetic oil’s main specifications are API CH-4, CF, ACEA E2, as well as other OEM specifications. Exol has developed the oil to emphasise low temperature performance, while improving wear protection in cold start-up conditions.
